Perfectly located in the heart of Victoria with easy walking distance to Chinatown, the harbour front, Fisherman's Wharf, etc. Would definitely stay here again! Staff are super helpful and provide great recommendations on what to see and where to eat. Parking is a little confusing but once in the right place, it is easy and convenient (must be my senior brain).

This hotel is centrally located in the heart of the downtown harbor action. Older but charming hotel that is well kept for its age. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room - very large! Enjoyed the in-room coffee and the mini fridge was useful. It was priced right and I'd totally recommend it.

Rooms were clean. I had an inside room and it was extremely quiet for a city center property. The staff was excellent. Just a very short walk (5 min or less) to the harbour, the Empress etc. Street market just steps outside the front door. And all the restaurants and shops you can ask for right there. There was some minor construction and maintenance going on in main entrance but it didn’t impact access in any way. Elevator is old and slow (to be expected in an older property), but I took the lovely wide staircase every time anyway. Will definitely stay again. Great location, clean, great value!

It was ok. Under renovation. Fairly clean, but not great. Old tub, poor tile work. New toilet. Bed was good. AC was barely capable of keeping the room cold. Noisey seagulls. Pretty good view from the 4th floor, past the rooftops.

There is construction going on in the entryway. Not a big problem though. The room we had was possibly a converted closet. Not a room that should be given to two people. One chair and the bed are all there is to sit on and very little space to move around in. Location is excellent. Pubs, restaurants and shopping right outside the front door. Minutes to the harbor. You have to try Murchies tearoom. Almost right next door.

Very quaint old hotel. They have definitely tried to update it but it’s pretty bare bones. The large double shower was a nice surprise. Has a kitchen and small fridge but no cutlery or cooking implements included. Really great hotel if you’re only visiting downtown Victoria and walking everywhere. Parking was off site at the Bay Centre and I had to drive around that parking lot to find a space as it’s quite busy most days. Overall, a good stay.

The front staff was great but the entrance was under construction and there was no signage. The “kitchen” consisted of a dorm fridge on the floor in one corner with a Keurig machine on top of it. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. I felt good as soon as I arrived. The location is perfect. Right in the heart of the historic downtown area. Only a few blocks and from both the Empress Hotel and the Parliament building. You can see them as soon as you walk out of the hotel. It's also right next to the original Murchie's tea which was fun. The room was cute and clean. Not fancy but perfect for what I wanted. Beds were comfy. Air Conditioning worked great. Amazing value for the price. I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting a budget friendly motel with a perfect location. Thanks!

The entrance is being renovated and therefore it was not a welcoming scene. One would think that they would reduce the price during renovations, or compensate in some way. My room 12 had a horrible view out of the windows onto a roof that is layered with bird droppings. Plus, it was very uncomfortable as a single female guest in that room with the ladder from the roof beside my window but I had to keep the drape open because the AC needed to be on and the drapes cover the AC if closed. The room was clean.

- Great location, near restaurants, shops and walking distance to tourists attractions. - Clean and maintained rooms and bathrooms - Heritage building and currently under renovation including the Reception area. - Hotel Reception is not in the ground floor so it’s confusing for 1st time guests. No visible sign for instructions. - Rooms facing the streets can be very noisy especially at night and during weekends or events. - Comparable priced accommodations maybe able to provide better amenities like pools & included breakfast.
