We had an excellent stay at St Maur. The rooms are large spotlessly clean with fantastic ensuite facilties and a balcony with outstanding views. Parking is avaliable and hotel ideally situated for walking to the Botanic Gardens and Steephill Cove. The Owner and staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. Such a friendly homely atmosphere.

Quiet relaxing stay on the Isle of Wight

What a find! A delightful family run hotel in a lovely little town on the Isle of Wight. St Maur is just perfect for a short or longer stay. It's spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and the owner and staff could not be more friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be coming back.

We stayed in a very spacious, quiet and comfortable room with a large bathroom and a wraparound balcony overlooking the lovely gardens. Our host, David was very welcoming, attentive and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

The spacious room and thoughtful furnishing created the perfect place for relaxing and taking in the lush view of palms, flowers, birds, Victorian rooftops and glimpses of the blue ocean with passing shops! A beautiful property with lovely garden. Our room was very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast generous, including a variety of fresh fruit, staff friendly. We walked to the Botanical gardens easily and Ventnor is very close, walkable too. Parking on site and outside. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful guesthouse set in lovely tropical gardens. Very spacious bedroom with large comfortable bed, lovely decor, large 4 piece bathroom, a handy fridge, well-stocked hospitality tray, fantastic views. Spotlessly clean. Very peaceful. Excellent breakfast choices with cereal, fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, cooked to order full English etc. Small honesty bar. David & his staff are friendly, knowledgeable & welcoming. Everything was excellent and we very much enjoyed our visit. Beautiful spot but about a 15 minute walk from Ventnor. Buses are very frequent in Ventnor but taxis are not so easy to get hold of so a car is possibly a bonus if your mobility is not great.

Great location with a warm welcome

St Maur was a delight to stay at. A very warm and professional welcome by the owner David. The rooms and bathrooms were extremely large and well equipped including a fridge and good amenities. Located in lovely gardens in a very peaceful and quiet location looking out towards the sea. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff could not have done more to make our stay any better.
