Only stayed for one night is a suite overlooking the grand canal. We were upgraded to a larger suite by Carlotta on reception. All staff were amazing. Hotel is amazing. A real experience of Venice. Beautiful hotel. Would recommend and will definitely go again. Rooms are on the expensive side but if you can afford it it is worth it.

The staff are friendly and the hotel and it’s location are superb. The concierge in particular was FANTASTIC. Downsides - The restaurant is over priced and the food is average. You pay premium premium prices for run of the mill food.

Hotel is at a very good location, making all places of interest and shopping areas easily reachable The food provided at the breakfast is good with lots of varieties. However, the staff members in general are not entirely friendly, particularly those serving at concierge. Having said that, a lady staff receiving guests at the breakfast area is very helpful and always greets us with smile

Nice Hotel with some areas of improvements

Pros: Overall it was a very pretty hotel. Our room was pretty and newly renovated. Receptionist was friendly upon checking in. The hotel provided a bottle of Champagne and chocolate upon arrival which was very sweet. Cons: The room was not very clean. It looked ok but both my husband and I had skin discomfort. There was also no staff helping with the luggage when we leave the hotel. We were carrying 3 luggages, the hotel exit required manual opening of two doors and yet no one provided a hand.

Comfortable Hotel

The Gritti Palace is a stunning building that has been refurbished to an exceptional standard. As soon as you walk through the doors you know you have arrived somewhere special. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms beautiful and extremely comfortable. However, you aren't allowed a kettle in your room which is disappointing. The hotels restaurant is like the rest if the hotel very comfortable and relaxing but at a very high price. The food is good but not exceptional for the price. Have eaten in Michelin star restaurants costing less I feel the Gritti Palace needs to re think the cost of their courses or elevate the standard to another level to justify what they charge. The experience overall though is a good one and one I will remember and i would definitely recommend the hotel for the experience and it's great location.
