We had an excellent stay at the Avani Rio Novo Venice Hotel. We arrived about five hours before check-in, and our room was already ready, which was greatly appreciated after travelling. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was modern, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. We especially liked the quiet Dorsoduro location—away from the busiest tourist areas but still very convenient. St. Mark’s Square is about a 30-minute walk, Rialto Bridge around 20 minutes, and the train station only about 10 minutes away. We really enjoyed walking through the quieter canals and neighborhoods on our way to the main attractions. Great location, wonderful staff, spotless hotel, and an excellent overall experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay. Extremely nice and helpful front desk staff. They even suggested getting us a porter so we wouldn't have to carry our luggage through town to the train station. Best recommendation. Room was excellent. Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in a hotel. Great shower. Great soundproofing, never heard any noise from other rooms. The only minor thing was us getting awakened a few times by people living in the neighborhooring house having guests in their backyard until late hours highly recommended this hotel. The decor is movie centered so it's a plus if you love cinema.

It’s a lovely hotel centrally located in walking distance to restaurants. It had a wide variety of breakfast from fresh fruits, juices, breads, and coffee options. The rooms were a good size for a family of 4. We also had a great view of the mountains in the back and the canal. Hotel staff were friendly and we had a great 2 night stay.

The hotel and our room was very clean. The hotel did have a very strong scent which was not unpleasant but just a bit too strong. The bar was well stocked but not free like other hotels we stayed in so we did not utilize it much. The location was excellent as it was not as tourist packed yet still very close to the train station where we got off.
