Great little find at Vendenheim

A small, friendly hotel, located at a huge shopping and leisure area. Lots of eateries within walking distance. Including 2 buffets. Considering the quality and amenities at the hotel, we were very surprised at the very reasonable price. I will definitely return if we visit that area again.

We had a great room and really enjoyed the pool. Amazing! BUT it was scary at two times: our neighbors had a fight and the last day suddenly someone opened the door to our room and didn’t say anything. That was kind of scary.

I'd give it a miss

It was easy enough to find the hotel, even in the dark. Check in was quick and pain free. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets were clean, however...The overall condition of the room was ok but it was not clean. Stuff, what looked like dry blood was on the wall near the window. The curtain hanging off. Human and pet hair all over the room and in the bathroom. Floor was dirty. Towels were past their best TV remote control needed incineration, it was that dirty. The fancy shower was black with mould. Everything needed a good deep clean! We arrived late after spending 8 hours on the road, we did not have the energy to complain or change rooms.

The marketing photos are unfortunately not the reality. The room was dark, the phone was yellow nicotine stained. No fridge, no safe, no tea or coffee. One pillow each. I asked for more pillows and they don't give any extra ones, so I had to go and but some from the supermarket. The bathroom was dark and grey and felt like a prison cell! The photos of the pool was blue, but it was green. From researching means it may be unsanitary as can be algae or wrong chlorine balance. So we didn't get in it. paintwork not looked after and some of the garden furniture broken. I would never stay there again. Looks nothing like the photos.

Easy to access from motorway, friendly staff, good breakfast, choice of several bars and restaurants just a walking distance. The hotel restaurant offer a good choice at the right price.the things I didn't l8ke ,was the bathroom, a bit old. It is a good stop for one night.

Stayed here several times en route to Italy (it's our halfway point). Excellent location, big carpark, friendly staff, comfortable bed. There is also a pool, although we have never used it. Always great value and breakfast is good too. My only (slight) gripe is that there is no kettle in the room, but there is a bar and a vending machine.
