A fantastic long weekend in Valencia. The room was lovely and comfortable and the rooftop plunge pool was a welcome relief from the hot sun. Great amenities with the spa room and the staff were all really welcoming. Shout out to Frank on reception who helped us the most you were very kind. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Valencia and keen to try your other hotel sites! Highly recommend this hotel.

I really enjoyed the hotel’s hospitality—the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasure to start each morning being greeted with a smile at breakfast. The rooftop views were absolutely incredible.

Amazing location. Very well maintained with helpful staff. The breakfast was very fulfilling with great choice and helpful staff. Recommended at least once and also visiting the bar, at least once. Rooftop dip pool very nice touch also.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! This was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The staff was friendly and helpful and we so enjoyed Mia and Sonya in the restaurant and bar. Daniel at the desk was helpful and helped with luggage and general info about the area. Amazing value for the money. We will be back!

Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Clean, comfortable and fantastic staff. Bar had a brilliant and calm vibe about it. I did not take the breakfast as I prefer visiting different (much cheaper) local coffee shops and bakeries for that. Would stay here again.

The Axel Hotel in Valencia exceeded our expectations. We had shopped on Hotels.com for a nice room in the old quarter of Valencia, and many of the choices were super-expensive, some of them twice the price of a room at Axel. At Axel, the staff was exceptionally pleasant, the breakfast really nice, and every aspect of the hotel was clean and well done. The work-out space was quite good, a rarity in the center of most European cities we have visited. The view from the roof (tiny pool) was exceptional. We now will look for the Axel chain in other cities we hope to visit.

Good location just a little out of the old town. Really nice lobby area and friendly staff. However the room and attention to detail really disappointing. Our room had a window from the shower into the lobby, with a roller blind - this let in a lot of noise and light. The shower leaked into the bathroom and toilet; and the bed felt as though it was in the bathroom with the sink next to the bedside table. Overall it just felt crammed, dark and uncomfortable. Our mugs hadnt been cleaned so asked for them replacing but they were simply washed again (so clearly don’t clean them properly generally). They then let us kindly swap rooms, and this one was much more like those pictured but still didn’t feel like a quality hotel - kettle had to be plugged in on the bedside table, only one chair, poor quality amenities / towels / etc. No towels for rooftop or spa (and you’re not prewarned about this). The spa didn’t feel very safe alone as it wasn’t manned and there were no locks to the toilets/shower in the changing room, also a bit unclean. Breakfast was poor, coffee took over 30 mins and excuses given but no apologies. They kindly let us check out a day earlier which was really appreciated.

The Staff were extremely helpful, the room was lovely and clean, with option for soft and hard pillows. The location was perfect, just on the edge of the old town, but with a 10 minute walk to take you right into the centre. The bar had some entertainment in the evening which we enjoyed.
