Parking was good! The hotel is very close to everything one needs in the harbor area! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable! The bathroom had a vent that I used all the time, however I could not get rid of the mildew smell in the bathroom which was very annoying!

It’s a good location and the staff was very nice. The issue we had was no heat, the noise of others and we didn’t get the room we thought we had booked. The staff did try to make it up by putting little heaters in the room because the heat did not work and bringing extra blankets. We booked a harbor view room through Expedia, but according to the staff, it was a standard room with no view. Again, the biggest problem was no heat. The staff was very good. I did hear a lot of noise from other guest. I would stay here again though. According to the staff working on the boiler the rooms furthest away, do not have good heat. We were in the last room on the far end so…

Since they don't have air conditioning, it'd sure be nice if the rooms had ceiling fans. It's in a nice setting and a great location in town. Valdez is so beautiful and no one should miss going to the fish hatchery. The beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was a disappointment though. It wasn't hot and it wasn't there! We arrived at 9am and there was hardly anything left. No one brought any new food out - we waited until 9:30 and left. Other guests were complaining too. We had a great visit.

Overall it was a bit disappointing, in need of a refurbishment. Breakfast was in a side room which was rather grim and poor compared to others in the chain. Check in was good, nice happy chap, breakfast staff were nice too. Other receptionists either miserable or rude.
