Friendly and happy staff in all areas which says a lot about how the hotel is run. Had my room unexpectedly upgraded on arrival due to a fault found with the originally booked room. The room I had did have a small issue with the private jacuzzi leaking but no major issues. Food and drink were excellent throughout my stay. Highly recommend staying here to anybody wanting a few days of relaxing peace after touring the country.

We had a fantastic stay and couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly. The staff were absolutely wonderful, so warm, hospitable and genuinely kind, and they consistently went above and beyond to make our stay special. Some of the kindest and most welcoming staff I’ve ever come across at a hotel. Our rooms were great and incredibly spacious, and the food was amazing too. We had dinner at the hotel a few times during our stay and really enjoyed it, and breakfast was excellent as well. Raj served us at dinner and was particularly kind and attentive, and really helped make our experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we had such a lovely experience and felt very well looked after throughout our stay. Would absolutely recommend and would happily stay again!

Amazing stay!

Really comfortable room with ocean view balcony, huge bathroom with nice bathtub. The hotel is beautiful with perfect facilities. The food is amazing and special note for the staff, so nice and caring. We had an amazing stay thanks to them. And now we know how to cook curry with their cooking class 😍

This hotel didn’t live up to the reviews I had read. The place is very dated and I was initially disappointed. Our aircon unit was dripping badly but was fixed in a couple of hours. All this said the sea view and food in the restaurant didn’t disappoint and the staff were lovely

Everyone here goes above and beyond! Excellent customer service, i stayed in one of the suites with private pool and jacuzzi and it was worth it! There are only 3 of those suites so book early, im sure all rooms are nice but the suitrs are top notch. The hotel is very well kept, staff always keeping an eye in perfection, the restaurant is highly recommended, delicious food, breakfast is great too and the staff in the restaurant are superb. If you are coming to Sri Lanka, you need to book here to enjoy Unawatuna and Galle.

The staff went above and beyond. It was my girlfriends 30th birthday and while I was in the UK they helped to get things organised and things didn’t change once we got here. The best treatment, I could see the staff did this across the board for everyone at the hotel. They really couldn’t have helped more if they tried, from the manager, to the reception staff, bar staff and everybody else. Very pretty, warm welcoming and a overall amazing stay in a beautiful setting. A perfect hub for if you are basing yourself in Unawatuna.

One of few hotels with its almost private beach. Boutique but a little rough around the edges - so what if nothing is perfect - this isn’t Maldives. Great food, really friendly staff. No loud music and respectful guests. They are offering a great product, that’s why guests return. Easy tuktuk to busier area and boats to take you elsewhere. We were genuinely sad to leave.

Rooms have a nice ocean view and balcony. Room and the bathroom are large. Good wifi. The water in front of the hotel was too choppy to swim. I’m not sure if this is a seasonal problem.

The food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff were helpful and nice. The rooms were quite run down for the price. Our tv, kettle and multiple lights didn’t work and the bathroom was musty. Our laundry also came back with new stains on it. We stayed in a room with a plunge pool and it lacked privacy. There were no sheer curtains so we had to keep the curtains closed (which meant a dark room) for most of the stay because staff were always walking past our room or standing near it. I would recommend booking an upstairs room.

The photos of this property LOOK okay but in real life, this place is sort of falling apart. You can’t swim in the beach as the water is too dangerous and choppy. The room we stayed in did not have a balcony door that sealed properly, so we had to switch rooms. The eating/ lounge area was very bare bones. For me, the stay would have been all right, had they not used photos likely from when this hotel first opened, when it was in tip top condition. We had a hot tub that we didn’t even feel like using, being the sealant looked cracked and gross and it just didn’t appear as clean as it did in the photos the hotel has shared with Expedia. We would never ever stay here again.
