Staff was wonderful! Requested an early check in, figured that would be 3pm versus 4 pm and they advised a room was available at 11:00 am. Needed to extend my stay and they were fluid with that as well. Will stay here again. Thank you!

Quiet despite being downtown; clean room although the bathroom area had a faint wet-dog odor. Everything else was nice and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Would stay again!

The room was exactly how it was described, and we loved always having a parking space downtown. It wasn’t a worry of where we are going to park for the night. Great walking distance to a lot of places too! We will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed there many times before. While the room is comfortable, and it’s location is superb, this trip included the main elevator not working, so if you wanted to go to the rooftop deck, you had to walk up a flight of stairs, the ice machine on our floor was out, and the credit card functioning in the restaurant was also not working. It felt like they just gave up on quickly fixing any of these issues.

Asked if we could leave our car overnight as we cycled around the area and received a firm “no”. They seem ed to have plenty of parking in the lot. Property seemed to be patched together in didn’t areas. Way over priced for serviced received.

The hotel is a unique building to stay in, it’s definitely got some history to it and you can tell the building is very old. But the rooms were clean and cozy to stay in. I loved the pool it has a nice hot tub and splash pad area for kids. Staff was friendly and told us about local restaurants etc. Rating 4 stars because the rooms were pretty small for what you pay for.

The 5 stars are all about the location. The perfect spot to see Traverse City. There are a few negatives, the main elevator does not work so all guests must use the service elevator which is worn and the wait can seem like several minutes. The top floor restaurant has a beautiful view but because the main elevator is broken you have to either take the service elevator which opens into this old dirty kitchen area or the stairs which for a couple approaching 70 can be daunting. BUT as said, the location and friendly staff out trumped the poor perception of the elevator situation just be advised. Also the restaurant staff and offerings were off but with the location there are many other options.

The building and rooms are definitely a bit outdated. However, the location and parking are what makes this our go to. We have stayed here a few times now and will probably continue to return. The bathrooms are a little odd how they are set up, but the beds are nice and comfy. The room was overall very clean.
