overall the property was decent. The complimentary breakfast was good. hot pancakes and eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy all cooked. self serve breakfast included cereal and oatmeal. coffee, milk and juice. the pool was nice, unfortunately, the hot tub was not working at the time. we were about 5 miles away from downtown Traverse City. there were a lot of restaurants that were close by.

The Holiday Inn Express in Acme (Traverse City), Michigan, is a great place to stay when you plan to sightsee around the city. The rooms are neat with the basic amenities, the staff is friendly and responsive, and the breakfast is tasty and served on time. The variety is typical, but served nicely. The halls are quiet, but we could hear activity in the room above us. Thankfully, it did not last long, and we eventually managed to get some sleep. This is our fourth stay at this HIX, and prayerfully it will not be our last, even though we were challenged multiple times for having reserved through Expedia rather than the IHG website! Once they realized were have been longtime Holliday Inn Awardees, they took care of our requests graciously,

Staff was friendly upon check in. They let me check in 20 minutes early, that was appreciated. It's pretty basic as hotels go, priced fairly. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable. But my issue was the lack of hot water. Upon arrival I could only get lukewarm water out of the faucet; my shower this morning ran out of hot water about two minutes in. Not sure if it's a problem for the entire hotel or just the floor I was staying on, but I can't highly recommend a place if I can't have hot water. The location is fine, though.

Worth a stay

Will stay here again. Hotel was being renovated during our stay. Room was clean, hotel was reasonably quiet. The pool was well kept with plenty of towels. The breakfast was nice with a good variety of options.

The staff was very helpful whenever we needed them. Rooms are nice, mattresses new and comfortable, comforters and pillows exceptionally nice. The biggest negative is location...on the very border of town, with access via a very fast 4 lane highway (no traffic lights).

The staff was all very friendly, cleanings were constantly going on even testing the pool and hot tub water, the room was all redone and very modern and the breakfast was very good!! The only thing is that on their website it showed a water view from the front of the hotel and there wasnt one. But we will definitely return.
