This is my favorite spot to stay when visiting family in Tokyo. Not just the convenient location to my family, but the friendly staff and the lovely coffee shop in the lobby. The rooms are Spartan—this is a Japanese-style hotel—but we spend little time in the room during our visit. The porch is along a lovely, quiet walkway, so there is no traffic when enjoying the outdoors. I love this place.

Cool hipster hotel, perfectly located walking distance from Shimokitazawa. Nice to have a little café inside the entrance. Staff are great. Room compact but livable. One negative point, checkout time of 10am is not compatible with a hip clientele who have been out late partying. It should be 11am.
