“Beautiful classic Georgian country Pub. Big comfortable room with a huge bathroom. The bed was also big and comfortable. We didn’t eat at the pub so cannot comment on that, but the village has several nice places to eat.”

“Very comfortable cottage for our family stay, the kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms were really cosy, lovely and clean everywhere. The village is gorgeous and the cottage is right at the centre of it, lots of options for food too. ”

“The house was located right in the centre of the village and is a great base for all the local hiking routes. It's a small village so has one Italian restaurant and 2-3 pubs that serve food and they get a bit crowded. The Horse and jockey do amazing BBQ ribs and a wonderful ox cheek lasagne. The food was excellent. The house has a lovely courtyard which we used on all the days we were there and most things are provided for you....even a welcome pack and a box of cakes. Which was a lovely...

The hotel is literally in the heart of Bakewell and close to Chatsworth House. Parking: I would recommend going to the bridge car park nearby, as it has overnight parking and reasonable priced.”
