“Me and my partner Ross stayed at The Cornmill last saturday and we both had a pleasent experience, Karen is very welcoming & accomodating and all round a lovely person. The room we stayed in was immaculate aswell and to top it all off, breakfast was absolutely superb! “The room was clean and bright, the pull out sofa bed was a bit short for an adult and we weee above the kitchen which was noisy at closing but done by 10pm. Great staff, pretty location.”

“Room was totally fine. Bed was comfy. Given tea and coffee. I brought my own little lamp as the only light is the main one. Toilets and shower are external and pretty run of the mill. Nice selection of beers and ales in the pub. Breakfast was nice”

“It was a very good stay. Since we entrence the main door, we felt very welcome for being there. The room was perfect, clean, cozy and with a view that can not be more better. Jo was very hospitable, attentive, and gave us amazing recommendation on what to do there. It was our first time but not the last time. But, we know that we’ll stay for sure in Miricia, again. “While we liked the theme of the pub, and the staff were friendly, the stay was let down by a poor nights sleep due to very thin walls and chatter in the pub past 11pm (despite the pub closing at 10). I did complain, and the noise did stop after some time, but it took a significant amount of time to get to sleep even after that. The pillows were also not to our preference, being extremely soft, but we didn’t raise this with staff (as we only stayed one night) so we don’t know if there were any...

“Conveniently located by the harbour and castle. Room 2 (twin room) was basic but clean and comfortable with everything in working order. As our stay was during the summer heatwave, it’s difficult to comment on whether it’d be warm in cooler months. Somewhat noisy at night and early morning due to the room facing the main harbour road.”

“Definitely a 5 star B&B. Lovely big room with terrace seating outside, overlooking the sheep and guinea fowl in the fields. Loads of parking. Very clean and well presented. The owners have pretty much thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and feel homely. Breakfast, with loads of choice, is cooked freshly to order in the area that serves as a bistro on several evenings in the week. We ate at the bistro - 'Feather and Beak' on one occasion and the food was outstanding. The owners...

“The whole place smelled of damp and mould. The bedroom had a very strong smell of cow manure from the farm next door. We could not stay it was so bad. And they have refused to refund any of our £150. Save yourself the wasted journey, time and money and go somewhere else.”

“The room was lovely and very comfortable. I had some difficulty with the stairs both in the accommodation and in the outer building because of my mobility, so I would warn others of the steepness of the stairs. Everything was very clean and well presented, plenty of continental breakfast choices, tea and coffee etc. This would only have been improved by a more practical washing up facility than the bathroom sink. Having said that though, the bathroom was spotlessly clean.”

“Appalling customer service! We had planned a short break to visit friends in Filey at the beginning of August 2026 and made a reservation almost 6 weeks ago. Unfortunately, a family member was rushed into hospital just before the planned weekend and we had to cancel our trip. I wrote to the hotel via the Hotel.com messaging facility with apologies for the cancellation and enquired if they were prepared to provide us with a credit for a stay in the near future. “The Endevour was a fantastic place to stay in Staithes. A beautiful place in a beautiful village. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the breakfast. Was the best full English we have had for a long time.”
