Beautifully positioned by the sea and about 5 miles from Cannes. The local village is non-descript but does the job in terms of a variety of places to eat, a pharmacy and small super market. The hotel is sort of five star but not quite and property could be looked after a little better. The seating area outside the bar needs some work. The rooms are well appointed if a bit quirky in design but the quirkiness is part of the charm. Small public and private beaches just outside the hotel which is great. Good swimming pool. Staff very good especially the guys who deal with cars and luggage. Near enough to Cannes to drive in easily but far enough if you don’t want the Cannes madness 24 hours a day. Overall I would definitely recommend it.

Fantastic stay at the Chateau de Theoule! I spent four nights at the hotel with a friend and we had a lovely time. The staff are all exceptional, the room was beautiful and the decor throughout the hotel property is gorgeous and unique. The bed was super comfortable, the Fragonard bath products a treat (I’m a big fan of all things Fragonard - soaps, perfumes, et.) It’s right on a really nice beach and the views are stunning. Breakfast is a buffet with all kinds of delicious things but you can also order eggs, French toast, pancakes, avocado toast, etc, and they offer a selection of fresh juice combinations. The spa is wonderful too. The pool was a bit chilly for my taste, but I’m guessing that it’s because France had nonstop heatwaves all summer and a somewhat cool pool was probably refreshing to others. The town itself is quiet but convenient for exploring the other towns on the Côte d’Azur, either by train, car or uber. Again, I can't say enough good things about the staff, who go out of their way to make the guest experience great. I will definitely be back to this hotel and will recommend it to all my friends.

Lovely stay in Théoule

Great newly refurbished chateau with nice location and friendly staff. Overall the hotel has a nice ambience, staff are sweet and attentive. Théoule is a little quiet, so if you’re looking for “Cannes vibe”, this is not your preferred choice. Also the only restaurant open in the evening is the beach club, and the fine dining. The fine dining is closed Sunday and Monday and also did not have room for us on Saturday when we arrived. The beach club is also lovely and comfortable, however they could consider making it free for hotel guests. Food is good at the beach club, but service a little slow. Also water was not included every evening in the room and often coffee cups not cleared outside from terrace - minor details. Definitely recommendable over all.

This hotel is excellent. The only reason I am not giving it an excellent review is because there was nobody at the reception to welcome us or to check us in. We waited 20 minutes in the middle of the night (because of international delays from the US). Then I had to scramble to find the hotel phone number to get a hold of someone. I even walked around and opened doors around the reception area. I think the person who was supposed to be there was probably sleeping in a back room or something. I finally got a hold of someone after calling and they came to check us in. Other comment I have is regarding pool service. Menu is very limited and slow. Sunbeds and parking are charged per day which is not cool considering you’re paying over a 1000 a night for rooms. Breakfast is excellent. Concierge and house keeping also quick and nice!

I cannot recommend Chateau de Theoule highly enough. It offers exceptional quality for those looking for a special holiday. The staff are incredible and customer service is on a level I have not experienced before. The village of Theoule sur Mer is also worthy of mention; its tranquil, picturesque and the ideal place to kick back, relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the French Riviera.

A castle on the beach, it's quite a dream! Steps away from the sea, you walk up a tower (literally) into the magical Chateau de Theoule, where you walk along stone-paved gardens from the pool, restaurant/bar, spa, and spacious rooms. Parking is available and the valet staff was very professional. The hotel has a private beach club and the water is less crowded than the other beaches nearby. For the price tag and luxury experience, though, I was surprised by the lack of personal care and grooming options available in the room. On the contrary, the spa is worth checking out and the prices are very reasonable! We also were woken up with a blaring fire alarm in the middle of night, were asked to evacuate (the staff had no idea what was going on) and after the entire building was awoken at 4am and the alarm stopped (approx. 10 minutes later), all they said was "it was just a test, you can go back to your rooms." A "test" at 4am?!? All in all, it was a great stay despite a few misshaps. I think the staff as a whole could have been more friendly and hospitable. Most of them seemed very uptight and like something was going wrong at all times (that was just their state of being, nothing was actually happening but it felt like a constant red alert).
