“Excellent onsen hotel right at the end of the first day of the Kohechi Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail. I came for the onsen and mountain seclusion, but they had such good maps of the Kohechi at the front desk that I decided to walk back to Koyasan the day I checked out. It’s about 20km through the mountains from Nosegawa Onsen to Koyasan, walking on a mix of well-kept trails and paved roads; overall, a moderately difficult hike with very good signage. “The best experience we’ve had in Japan! Great staff really supportive. The temple is beautiful and the rooms amazing and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast are vegetarian/vegan but surprisingly delicious. Would definitely recommend and complement with a night tour to the Pkonoin cementery.”

“El templo es muy bonito, pero la experiencia muy decepcionante. En el check in no dan información del templo, te informan de horario de cena, desayuno y ceremonia, sin más. Las habitaciones están en fuera del templo, por lo que a las 17. No hay ningún tipo de contacto ni actividad para hacer ni te ofrecen info. La cena y el desayuno no explican los alimentos ni cómo tomarlos (de la cena hubo un niño chillando por la sala, bastante decepcionante), la cena muy bueno todo y el desayuno cositas más...
