Staff, amenities and cleanliness generally good. Facilities do need to be better maintained. There is new competition from Airbnb’s around town. So Telamar needs to step up. Definitely eill return but would love to see batter maintenance. Staff does their best.

The property itself is huge and mostly clean, and the location is amazing for walking and enjoying the area. I’m glad I gave my son the opportunity to experience the hotel and pools while we were in Tela. Unfortunately, there were several issues that would keep me from staying again. Some areas around the kids’ pool were very slippery, which felt dangerous, especially with children running around. Our room also had a funky smell, and someone had to come spray room deodorizer to help with it. The staff experience was probably the biggest disappointment. Some of the security guards made us feel uncomfortable. Even though we were wearing the hotel bracelets, they would repeatedly stare at us and made us feel like we were being watched rather than welcomed. We didn’t try the food, so I can’t comment on that. The beach is beautiful for walking, but the waves were pretty rough during our stay and it didn’t seem like the best area for swimming. Overall, I’m glad we experienced it, especially for my son, but I personally wouldn’t stay here again.

Family friendly, staff goes beyond the call of duty and the amenities were great! Our room had plenty space. The pitfalls were the shower was dripping water and the bathroom does need a little renovating.
