Great location and a very spacious room. It was the perfect place for our one-night stay. There is a covered parking lot (Parcheggio Talete) for $15 per 24 hours, just a 10-minute walk from the b&b.

This is a great location at the Ortigia region of Syracuse, charming but inconvenient if you have a car. You need to have you car taken to a parking place outside of the island (25 euro per day). Place is small but clean and cute.

The walls are thinner so we could hear those below us. There is no kettle or coffee available. The location is convenient, no parking available to guests though and the parking lot is quite far from the place, you would want to drop off luggage then park.

Wish I could stay longer

We would definitely stay here again! This is a two-story auberge in a pedestrian-only district about 5 minutes’ walk from two garages — advance reservations strongly recommended! One is Garage Ortigia. We parked at Autopark Ortigia di la Mesa Mauricio (warning: steep driveway down). Anyway, our room at Atrio was a first-floor studio, right off the central patio—excellent for weeklong stay or more, though we only stayed one night—so I can’t speak to second-floor rooms. Spacious, clean, well-equipped, air conditioning worked well, WiFi was fine, best towels ever!! (Bigger than my bath sheets at home). Plug situation for charging phones by the bed is limited, so it’s a good idea to bring a multi-prong plug for the lamps plus your devices. Check-in is via lockbox with your key in it. We got the lockbox code by calling number on the Atrio sign. Everything in Ortigia is 20 minutes’ walk from everything else, it seems, so location was fine for us. Bottom line: I would book here with confidence.

I cannot say that we enjoyed our stay at Italiana Resort Atrio. The communication with the staff before our arrival was not good. They also asked us to do our check in at 3:30 but they were not even there at 3:30. We had to wait 15 minutes after them and there were already other people waiting for them. Also, we had to pay the tourist tax at our arrival. The tax is usually 1.50€ per person per night = 6€. Even on the Expedia website it said we had 6€ left to pay at the property. The room was paid for yet somehow they asked us to pay 15€ and could not explain why. It also says on the website that there are laundry facilities but there are none. The room itself was fine (except for the shower head that doesn't hold when water is running) but all these unexpected extras were a huge disappointment.

Nice, big room, and perfect location! A quite street, but still just a few minutes walk to the centre with beautiful architecture along the way. There was also a small rocky beach just a few minutes away, which was a nice surprise for us. Not so well sound isolated - we stayed in the second floor, and we could here the other guests walking above us in the mornings. The shower cabinet could need an upgrade. Be aware that the "parking in garage" is not actually the hotels garage. It's a public garage 300-400 meters away from the hotel, and it costs around 20 euros for a day. In other words, the hotel doesn't offer parking, so we felt a bit fooled there when arriving by car. The biggest downside was the checkout in the morning. The staff wouldn't let us store our luggage for a few hours before our departure, so we had to carry our luggage around the city for many hours. All in all, a good experience, but a shame that the hotel doesn't offer this basic service to their guests.

Management not friendly, checked us in and left right away couldn’t ask questions too. Room smelled of strong perfume. Didn’t clean our room on second day and we had no toilet paper. Had to text someone to come as no one was in the office. He came and actually tried to open our room without knocking, thank god we’d locked the door as we were in bed. Left toilet paper on doorstep and left .

the tap water in the bathroom seems like underground water mixed with a large amount of seawater, so anyone cannot use it for a shower or brush teeth. in the bathroom there is no soap, only one little tube of shampoo. And in the room there is no trash can. Access road is narrow and circumstances are not good.

The number to reach the owner is difficult to find, it took us three calls to find the right number. This B&B has a code entry, so it's self-service. When we arrived in the assigned room, there was no electricity and a strong smell of mold. The room had obviously suffered water damage. We called the landlord about the electricity problem and he told us to change rooms, because he did not understand what the problem was since he only speaks only italien, not english nor french, nor spanish.... When we got to our new room, it too was without electricity. Being manual workers, we went round the brakers and noticed that the whole block had no electricity. After a call to the owner, he came to check and thought he had it under control, but this was not the case. The main was constantly jumping and we had to turn the electricity back on so often that we had to get dressed to go back. Other travelers thought we worked at this B&B. We told them politely that we didn't and that we weren't at all happy with the situation. The owner contacted us again.

Ligger i en väldigt smal gränd och har mysig innergård. Mysigt med högt i tak med vackra takbjälkar. Vi köpte till frukost på plats för €7 per person och det var toppen. Yougurt, bröd, ost, skinka, salami, croissant, färsk frukt, juice, kaffe och te samt hembakat sicilianska special ”sockerkaka”.

Super skønt sted

Et lille Hotel i en lille smal gade lige mit i den lækre lille centrum. Meget stort værelse. Der var rent og det lå trygt. Lige ude for døren er der lækre spisesteder og du kan bevæge dig rundt i de små hyggelige gader. Eneste minus et at der ikke er meget strand i byen, men der kan bade manges steder fra. Det er bare ikke strande med solsenge. Man skal kører ca 30 Min så kommer man til meget lækre strande
