“Beautiful historic house in lovely setting. Our host Margaret was personable and helpful. The room was great and Margaret provided delicious home cooked treats.
I did wish the room had an en suite bathroom instead of a shared one but it was only a small inconvenience. Otherwise 5 stars.”

“We didn’t get a good impression when we went to check in as no one was there. We stood there for 15-20 minutes but no one came. We rang the bell and phoned, but still no one answered. Finally, we called and left a message and the owner came from the back to check us in. The staircase to the upstairs (first impression for visitors) was filthy. We get it, people come in with their shoes on, but first impressions mean a lot. The breakfast was okay and we were happy he asked about dietary...
