“Wonderful hard working & welcoming staff/bar/lounge. Some of the best food (Dinner & Breakfast) we've had in the UK. The property in general is beautiful and full of history. Lovely quiet setting~ perfect for a country retreat and for hosting special occasions. For those reasons 5 stars. Unfortunately stars are lost on the room. The room upkeep was very disappointing and should be addressed. Very stained & crumpled carpeting (to the point it should be replaced), strange splashes/drips on...

“This was a very old historical building in as good of a shape as it could be. Some uneven floors and a lot of steps to get to your room. It was small and quiet charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August.”

“Habíamos estado en otros Marriott y fue una gran experiencia, aquí no te atienden bien, el hotel es un laberinto, y nadie te explica por dónde ir, ni te ayudan con las maletas, tuvimos que pedir que nos cambiaran de cuarto,las alfombras no son cómodas para llevar las maletas, el personal del bar grosero, solo tienen Pepsi y como no queríamos se burlaron de nosotros pensando que no los entenderíamos. Decepcionada de haber elegido este hotel”

“I loved my stay here. Beautiful rural location. All staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Great service. The food was also great and freshly made. My room was modern, spacious and clean with a lovely view. Definitely intend to stay here again on my next visit.”

“Motel in easy walking distance to town centre. The room was very hot, so had our windows open and seagulls were screaming from 2am The room was clean plenty of hot water. Bed too soft for our liking so didn’t sleep well. Our door didn’t seem to fit right so had to slam it shut and heard a few more being slammed.”

“Pleasant Staff, simple book in. Let down by tiny tv & silly early book out time of 10.30am. Charged an extra £25 to book out at 12 having already paid £493 for 3 nights. Breakfast let down by poor ingredients - cheap tasteless sausage.”
