“We had a comfortable overnight stay (very comfortable bed!). Having been to a wedding reception that day, we didn’t want much to eat, but found just what we wanted, even though the menu is not extensive. The food was good and the fish and chips are obviously a popular choice, and looked delicious. Breakfast was good. Staff very helpful and friendly.”

“The staff were really friendly and approachable. The meal I had was one of the best I've had in a long while. The room was really clean with a Nespresso coffee machine which for me was a really nice touch as I love my coffee. The shower was lovely and hot. I will definitely be booking there again and I can not recommend it enough. Lovely bar with a nice atmosphere. I was solo travelling and the staff were more than happy to chat while I enjoyed my drink at the bar. I didn't have the breakfast as...

“Outstanding. Everything and all staff and waters all are outstanding. No words can describe my satisfaction. Probably the best sleep i got since a very long time in an organic heritage hotel very quiet and warm town. All TV and coffee bar are modern and clean and convenient. I really liked the biscuits made by the chief in the room with a cup of coffee ar 6:00 am overlooking a peaceful and historic 1600s downtown. “Liked how the staff upgraded us and were responsive to our feedback. Liked the bed and linen, and how, mostly, the apartment was clean. Liked how Oulton Broad North railway station was walkable, and how room 11 has a parking space - if hard to find and quite tight. The place was good value. Not so good: There was a stained grey rug in the living area that needs replacing. We didn’t have a tea towel or oven gloves until we asked. There was no bath mat - and not enough hooks to hang towels on.”

“Very enjoyable stay. Excellent staff led by John the general manager, whose welcome is friendly and genuine. Top marks. Room comfortable if slightly very cramped . Excellent breakfast that used fine local ingredients. Dinner was good too, but a few of the dishes just need a little more finesse to make the Michelin guide. Overall, strongly recommended thanks to John and his team.”
