Service was impeccable earning the front desk manager a handsome (I believe) tip for which he was very gracious. It was our first time in Sucre and we got myriad travel tips and insights from the staff....all of which proved to be "spot on". The hotel exterior, courtyards, common areas, etc were BEAUTIFUL. Be sure to linger on the deck at the top (4th) floor for the BEAUTIFUL view of the city. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, were lacking a bit by USA standards, but certainly clean and spacious (we had a junior suite). The location could hardly be better....just a couple blocks from the Cathedral, main square, and many other attractions. The VALUE WAS EXCEPTIONAL....could easily have been 1.5 X to double what we paid. If we are ever again in Sucre, we will certainly return to Hotel de Su Merced!!!

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel de Su Merced. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, full of charm and character, and it feels like the perfect place to experience Sucre. The staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and always happy to help, making me feel at home throughout my stay. The location is also excellent—within easy walking distance of the city's main attractions, restaurants, and cafés. One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the rooftop terrace. It offers stunning views over the city and is the perfect spot to watch the sunset after a day of exploring. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of fresh options to start the day. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend Hotel de Su Merced to anyone visiting Sucre.

This hotel is so beautiful! The building is so well taken care of, it is hard to believe it is over 300 years old. Our room was so spacious and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, there was nothing that was too much for them. The breakfast was good, but a bit of variety might be nice.

Hotel de Su Merced is a beautiful hotel throughout! The courtyard and each floor's multiple terraces all have great views. The whole hotel feels like a garden house, and it's well maintained. The room was clean and comfortable. Also the hotel is very well located, convenient walking distances to many attractions, museums and restaurants. The front desk guy Edwin was super friendly and all the restaurants he recommended were delicious with charming ambiances. Will definitely stay here again if I come back to Sucre in the future. And highly recommend it to people who visit Sucre!

The fellow who welcomed us at the front desk was so nice and so helpful. He spoke very good English and we could ask him anything. Our room was wonderful and big and bright and clean. Comfortable beds and we had a fridge as well. Lots of nice seating areas to relax in around the hotel courtyard. The breakfast was very good and the staff was courteous and friendly. Close to lots of restaurants and the main square.

Outstanding hotel

What a stunning, well looked after hotel in the historic centre of Sucre. The room was outstanding, beautifully decorated with a lovely bath tub and the most comfortable super huge bed. The rooftop has a fabulous view of town and it’s a great sunset viewing spot. Staff were very helpful and friendly. In terms of improving I would only say breakfast could do with some re-thinking, maybe just freshly cooked eggs to order would just do a trick. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

The hotel is very pretty from the interior courtyard. It offers beautiful views when you are out on the sitting area of which there are several. However, the rooms are not very comfortable. Stuffy, no fan and certainly no heat or air-conditioning. You have to open a window which lets in mosquitoes if you are hot. Also, the decor in the room is something straight out of the 1800s but not in a nice way, rather spooky. However, the staff is extremely helpful and pleasant and the location is excellent. Price is very good as it should be for a hotel that is very basic. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing in the city that is any more plush for lack of better words so you might as well stay here.

Habitación amplia, cama grande y cómoda, baño renovado. Muy bien la amabilidad del personal. Como pero nos tocó una habitación que daba a la calle principal y se escucha ruido y tráfico mucho tiempo. Los desayunos están bien pero algo justos, van reponiendo en pocas cantidades y se agitan en cuestión de segundos si hay mucha gente. Igualmente me volvería alojar aquí. Su ubicación también es excelente
