The harbour front setting was amazing and our upstairs family room had views from two windows. The guest house was furnished with a lot of style. The kitchen facilities were very good, just a little dark down in the semi basement.

It was clean, nicely feeling accommodation in a retro style. The retro does NOT mean old and worn out, but more like the feeling of staying in a small local museum. The rooms are the biggest I stayed in during my two-week road trip in Iceland. Location is best - first line facing ocean / harbor. The only thing I liked less where showers. They where ok, but I would do there some renovations to match the entire guesthouse level.

Quaint guesthouse right near the harbor. We had a lovely view. There is a coffee shop on site for breakfast, and since located right in the town, walkable to restaurants, ferries and scenic hill. Note, we booked a room with private bath, should be updated on Travelocity that it’s actually just toilet/sink, all shower facilities are in the basement. Also, no front desk so you check yourself in to building and room, but felt safe.

The kitchen was well organized, and the rooms and bathrooms were kept tidy. The café was an excellent addition with a yummy continental breakfast that we added on.

Staff helped check in by taking our car evening call. We were disappointed, however, that the refrigerator was not working. There were things in the fridge. There was no sign saying it’s out of order. So we put our stuff in and some of it went bad. Also when we reported it to the staff they just said thank you for the information no apology no ice to recover the other food just going to serve a fancy breakfast to the other guests.

I like all the antique setting. It made me feel back to grandma's house. It made me feel home. We have difficulty to turn on stove and the manager showed up quickly to show us about the stove. There are washroom on every floor and several showers in the basement.
