2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Staff & service
Location is great and we love visiting Stuart however this trip ended in an absolutely terrible way. Sunday morning I called the front desk to ask for a late checkout. A member of the hotel staff answered the phone and told me that a late checkout would be fine but did not specify a time Industry standards normally call for one hour later than typical. At the time it was 930 ish and check out was 11 so we planned on leaving at 12. At approximately 1115 we had a knock on our door. My girlfriend answered the door and she was met by two staff members who were aggressive, indignant and rude telling my girfriend that we had to check out right away or pay for the extra hour. They went on to say that there was never a call to the front desk and they called both of us liars about the entire event! My girfriend being the amazing kind hearted person she is she was very polite and simply said oh, ok we will leave right away. I did not get very involved in fact this is basically the extent of my involvement. I will simply say this. We have stayed at this property at least 10-15 times at an average of $70 per visit that is a fair amount of money. However, for me the part of this that terminated our return was the way my girfriend was spoken to. I only know one way to say this final part had I been privy to the verbal exchange and witnessed the way my girfriend was addressed this would have ended in a black eye for the rude staff member.

Cheap, clean, and basic

Price was excellent. Bed was comfy. Shower was hot. Internet was good. Hotel was quite. Pretty much bare-bones. No coffee. Hotel is older and could use some upgrades. But overall, for the price paid, I was happy.

Very good for a good price

This is based on its price point. I just want a clean room and it was. It has a fridge and microwave. It was quiet and I slept well. Shower had good pressure and was got. There was a smell when we got there but was not noticeable after we were there for a bit. So if you have a sensitive smell, maybe not for you but I would stay again. I recommend it.

Friendly desk service. Sheets were irritating to my skin. I don't know if it was too much bleach? The bathroom toilet would not flush and gurgling noise bubbling noise. We had to shut bathroom door and turn the fan on high to drowned out the noisy toilet. We just needed a place to crash after driving so far. But they were a very nice couple running the desk and were right there after 10 pm to put us up for the night Best price in town!
