“There was no light in the first part of the bathroom with basin. The door to the main part of the bathroom creaked abominable.”

“The room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard and was noticeably dusty upon arrival. Furthermore, I was incorrectly charged for breakfast even though breakfast was included in my room rate.”

“Good location but wouldn't stay again. Photos through Expedia must have been taken when the property was refurbished many years ago because the reality was a very tired hotel. Chips in the joinery, no exhaust fan extremely average small TV that was problematic to operate. Dirty carpet. No parking aside from pay-to-park council parking. Free overnight but limited to four hours between 8.30 and 5.30. No block out blinds. Terrible AC. Really noisy and a horrible screech from the water system...

“Beautiful architecture from the 1920s when Parliament House opened in 1927. Restored to perfection. All the staff were migrants and all outstandingly polite friendly and helpful and I loved Pixel the Labrador the ex sniffer dog who lives with the General Manager I believe It’s an elegant statement of a bygone era and well managed. It’s a credit to everyone from front staff to the GM Well done”

“The staff were friendly and helpful at check in and knowledgeable about places to dine. Room was clean and warm and the bed was very comfortable.”

“I was assigned a room right next to the sliding door. I could hear the noise from the sliding door that opens and closes very often when people were coming in and out. I then asked for a room change. The new room was much better. However, when I checked out five days later, I was given a bill of $30 with a lunch charged to my old room. I remember that I never had that lunch. I only had breakfasts there.”

“El apartamento que nos asignaron era muy ruidoso y nos cambiaron a una habitación muy amplia y agradable pero no hicieron la limpieza antes de que entráramos todos los muebles llenos de polvo, la terraza con telarañas, vajilla sucia y restos de comida usada en el congelador, al día siguiente tampoco hicieron limpieza y cuando llegaron a darnos toallas limpias, solo se llevaron la basura.”

“Stayed at Ibis budget Canberra 2 years ago, the bathroom was full of mould. The acor corporate claimed it was the budget part. So we stayed at Ibis Styles Canberra this time. But mouldy bathrooms seem to be the Ibis theme. On the top the Ibis styles did not even bother to refill soap bottles or paper tissues. Figured to use the shampoo bottle as it had the same liquid in as the handsoap on the sink. No complimentary coffee/tea/sugar, unlike much cheaper hotels and motels we stayed in along the...

“The room was clean and a good size, comfortable beds and good air conditioning. I thought it could do with a couple of comfortable chairs and the remote didn’t work for the TV probably only needed new batteries”

“Super convenient location, spacious and clean rooms. Highly recommended place to stay.”

“The hotel is modern, clean, and well-equipped. Breakfast was very good. There's not much within a walking distance of the hotel. Something we hadn't appreciated was that there is no free parking available on site. You can either pay to park or attempt to find street parking nearby. We chose the latter and were fortunate to find a spot within 200m or so. But the hotel didn't seem busy at the time so my guess is parking may be at a premium other times. Overall, a good hotel.”
