The Elvira room had a Queen bed and a single, which was suitable only for a child, since the matress was thin and the sheets rubberized. The Queen was very comfortable and can easily accommodate two. Breakfast was not included, but coffee was provided in the spaceous living room on the ground level, which used to be the breakfast location. The Stone Maiden is within walking distance of theatres and restaurants on a quiet street.

The owners were friendly and welcoming. We arrived ahead of the scheduled check in time but were invited to settle into our room right away, which we really appreciated. Our room was lovely and comfortable, it had everything we needed. It was a short walk away from a great breakfast place, very handy in the morning. Overall a great place to stay!

We had a lovely stay at the Stone Maiden Inn. It’s in a great location, within easy walking distance of downtown Stratford and the Festival theatres, so we hardly needed the car. The staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful, and the inn itself was charming and comfortable. We’d happily stay here again.

The Inn is a grand building from Victorian times, upgraded of course, and quiet, clean, comfortable. The room we stayed felt quite private. We enjoyed the Inn and it's amenities. As we knew breakfast was not on offer during our stay we brought yoghurt and fruit and used the shared fridge for our first morning. However fresh coffee/tea was available in the morning in the common room where you can meet up with other guests. Lovely stay. And being able to park our car there was a bonus!

If you like quaint 150 year old properties, this if fine. But you also get inflexible check-in, no amenities other than the room and a coffee machine in the hall and a small room with a mini shower in the room and a stepdown bathroom (leading to a stumble in the night). What is similar to other hotels in town (say the Arden Park) is the price per night - yet those hotels have many more amenities and more comfortable rooms. Good location for theatre going, however and plenty parking.

Quirky place with interesting rooms and friendly owner. Need to climb about 15 steps to get to our 2nd floor room. Easy parking and close to Joe's Diner for breakfast It would have been nice to have a muffin or Danish available so this is not a b&b , there is no breakfast. It's pricing is comparable to other Stratford properties in September, and if one is reasonably mobile, it is walking distance to downtown and the Avon Theatre, a bit more of a hike to the Festival Theatre. We would stay here again.

If you’d like to step back in time but still enjoy modern day amenities, this is the place for you. This establishment has been operating as an Inn since 1905! The proprietor, Tim is warm and welcoming; your accommodation is walking distance to shops and restaurants. We had a super time and we’ll be back.

If you like the charm of the old fashioned look, this is for you. The bedroom we were in was nice however the bed was small. The bathroom is tiny and needs work. All the fixtures need updating. The good thing is it’s close enough to the downtown area theatres and restaurants. In conclusion, if you like the past you will love it, explore the rest of the areas in the building, they are lovely.

The inn may have been a pleasant place to stay 20 years ago , when we were not 80 years old The room we were given is 2.5 levels up, with no elevator and no help carrying the luggage When asked about it, the caretaker/proprietor was abrupt and claimed we should have known about it if we had made the reservation directly??!! No glasses in the room, no idea where we could find some or what, or if any service was provided My friends and i go to Stratford at least twice a year for one or two night stays each time, but this inn is definitely NOT an option

Stone Maiden Inn is a charming place to stay in Stratford. The rooms are beautifully and individually decorated, each with its own unique character and style. The layout of the inn is thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while still offering plenty of privacy. If you're looking for accommodations with personality instead of a typical hotel, this is a wonderful choice and located within walking distance of downtown core. The attention to detail and distinctive charm make for a memorable stay. Thank you Tim for a wonderful stay .
