“This was our third visit to the Fisherman's Cot and the first time for an overnight stay. There is a good selection of food at reasonable prices and very good breakfast. Staff were friendly and polite. We stayed in an annex which was OK but the outside fabric of the building is in need of renovation. Room was fine and clean, although bath panel was heavily water damaged. There is scope to improve decor (pictures on the wall for example) to give a more homely feel”

“Great staff and owners. Very welcoming. Property is dirty and scruffy in the communal areas/outside. Needs a tidy up and regular maintenance/cleaning. Would stay again due to service and food”

“For the price can't complain as you also get free parking. The room was clean and tidy with clear instructions as to how to access the room key. The restaurant is dog friendly also and food delicious. Just bear in mind it can be noisy in the room until the restaurant closes but not a massive issue.”

“We felt very welcome from arrival till departure. Good location, cheap parking nearby, decent breakfast to start your day. Keep in mind that the rooms are not air contained and not all windows can be opened. Ask for a fan of necessary.”

“Our room was well maintained and we like staying in unique, historic properties. A bath in the nook in front of the window seemed a little strange. We thought a sofa with a coffee table would be a more relaxing option after a day of sightseeing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The state of the beer garden is a shame. It looked really run down albeit unique with a throne at one of the tables. If you struggle with mobility, the car park is between 5 - 10 mins walk away. Not a...
