We had a lovely stay at this historic property. Comfortable king room, helpful host, nice breakfast options. It's just a block from all the wonderful shops and restaurants in Staunton, which punches above its weight for dining. Would definitely return next time we're heading that way.

The house and specifically the room was beautiful. The breakfast staff was caring and kind. One thing I would say is the change the love seat to a sofa in room 35. Would be much more comfortable.

Great location. Free onsite parking. Owner was super helpful and breakfast was really good with fresh fruit, homemade breads, quiche, waffle and coffee. The room was huge but somewhat loud with the air purifier. The tv is ancient and the shower wasn’t great. The bed was very comfortable. It is walking distance to the Royal Shakespeare theater and WoodrowWilson’s library. Pros definitely trump the negatives. I would stay again. Be prepared to walk some stairs.

Frederick House is a great place to stay when visiting Staunton. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The accommodations and amenities are first-rate, and the B & B is centrally located to the city’s major points of interest and restaurants. My breakfast choice was exceptional—delicious fresh fruit , apple raisin quiche, and pumpkin/raisin sweet bread. The coffee was full-bodied and flavorful. Free parking is conveniently located on site. I highly recommend staying at the Frederick House.

This is located in downtown Staunton and it’s a great location. The parking is shared with other businesses and residences and can be challenging if arriving in the evening. This is not a place for anyone with mobility issues. Lots of stairs. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The tv was small and in a sitting room with two less than ideal chairs. There was no ice available. The HVAC worked well. The WiFi did not. The breakfast was serviceable but nothing special. The staff was very nice.

The baseboard heat in the room was not working, making for a chilly night. The management provided a space heater and that kept the room comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! And the location is perfect for exploring Staunton. There are rather staff were all very attentive. There are rather a lot of steps to climb to get from the parking area to the rooms. And the bed, while quite comfortable, was very high making getting in and out challenging for my 88 year old wife.
