“Hosts were polite and kind. Breakfast was very good! Great location! Short walk to town and to the water was very nice. The room wasn't as clean as we would like. The one chair (antique) although period to the house, was not sturdy and therefore not usable. Did not like the shared bathroom. Also, bathtub could have been cleaner and better appointed.”

“This place was a solid 4 stars, though the beautiful grounds, beach, and scenery deserve 5 stars. This is a heritage property and though there is a dated feeling to the furnishings, we found it gave a charming atmosphere and a nice throwback as a rustic northern resort. The cottages and rooms are simple and not modern, but the cost of staying here is pretty reasonable for such a spectacular location on the breathtaking Lake Joe. Other places nearby would have been $500 more for our 3 night stay....

“Each cottage has its on dock and we spent days swimming and floating off ours on a clean, peaceful lake surrounded by beautiful scenery. There are lots of stairs to climb since the cottage is perched far up from the dock but we got a great workout.”

“We absolutely loved Rocky crest! We were a family of 8 plus 2 dogs. We were able to use all of the amenities. We travelled with a teenager and a preteen. Our entire family was able to access all the water sports and inflatable obstacle course. We ate at two of the three restaurants and it was delicious! Staff were very helpful.
