The location and the view are great, just next to the sea and far from the traffic noise. There are a few places to eat out in walking distance, a small grocery and bus stop. The pool was not yet open, breakfast has a rich choise although very basic, the staff are super friendly.

I highly recommend staying at Ambassador Hotel when in St. Paul's Bay, Malta. Have in mind that this is a 3-star hotel, but it's absolutely worth it as it's the best a 3-star can get. The cleanliness of the room was a big plus. Internet is free and decent. There is a bus stop near the hotel called "Xemxija", which easily takes you to either Popeye Village, or to the senter of St. Paul's Bay and more. The hotel offers guests free and unlimited water bottle refills by the water dispenser in the reception, and the water is ice cold. Also the staff are super helpful and polite. My experience was very positive!

We stayed here for a last minute holiday to Malta and the staff here are really nice and helpful. Tourist information was provided on arrival and some local knowledge was thrown in too. AC in the room; shampoo, shower gel and hair dryer were provided, beautiful pool (open to the public) and restaurant downstairs with a good, consistent breakfast, good happy hour deals and amazing (!) pizza. Well located to get to St Paul's Bay, Valetta, Mdina and Gozo by bus. Let us leave our luggage and use the pool after checkout at 11am. Thoroughly impressed, have recommended The Ambassador to family and friends.

Very disappointing experience – serious complaint My stay at the Ambassador Hotel in Malta started with a very unpleasant experience. A female staff member tried to charge me in a way that I believed was inappropriate, so I contacted Expedia’s hotline to report the situation. Expedia took my complaint seriously and helped me get a better room, which I appreciated. Afterwards, the staff member apologised to me and asked me to withdraw my complaint, saying that her boss would “kill her” if I did not. She also asked me for €50 and said that she would be happy if I gave it to her. I found the whole situation extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. Unfortunately, on my last day, the same staff member approached me in front of other guests and spoke to me rudely about the balcony not being clean, asking whether I had cleaned it. Even if there was an issue with the room or balcony, this could and should have been handled privately and professionally. I appreciate Expedia for supporting me when I raised the complaint, but the behaviour I experienced from this staff member was unacceptable and left a very negative impression of the hotel. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and properly trains staff on how to deal with guests and complaints.

The property is of medium quality, with issues with both waterpressure and aircon temperature (this was not the same in different rooms). There is no fridge in the room, but this can be rented from the hotel for €3.50 pr night, wich i thought was quite excessive, specially thinking the level/quality of the hotel and how this usually is included in rooms. The hotel rooms are not very well insulated and you can hear people talking in the next room or in the hallway, almost lile they are in the room with you. it is also a very small hotel with just over 40 rooms, and the breakfast selection is very limited. The hotel is quite a distance from the city og St.Pauls Bay, even though it is easy to take the local busses, there is both unregularities in time according to schedule and limited busses that actually go in to town. The traffic can also be horrendous at certain times. There are some local restaurants in the area, but not a huge selection. HOWEVER!! All this considering, every single one of the hotel staff was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt welcome, was happy and comfortable, and showed a genuine interest. There was never a no from anyone, they just fixed issues quickly and efficiently. The cleaning staff did a super job every single day, gave fresh towels every day, and i often came back to find beautiful towel-figurines on the beds.

La camera era pulita una volta al giorno e bene, tuttavia era una camera con i soli elementi essenziali e nulla di più, niente di che. La colazione abbastanza fornita per la parte salata ma la parte dolce nulla di che: poca frutta, niente cioccolata, niente biscotti o fette biscottate, In compenso il personale del ristorante era davvero molto competente e cordiale. I receptionist fanno bene il loro lavoro, in particolare una signora coi capelli lunghi e neri, molto disponibile.

Zimmer sehr einfach, Badezimmer lässt zu wünschen übrig, kein Wasserdruck, beim duschen nur geplätschert, öfters Stromausfall, so dass die Klimaanlage gar nicht funktionierte, Frühstück fast immer das selbe, sehr wenig Obst. Hotel liegt sehr abseits, also wer Ruhe mag ja, ansonsten tote Hose.

Ein kleines, feines Hotel, mit super Lage direkt am Meer, super nettem, hilfsbereiten, zuvorkommendem Personal. Unser Zimmer hatte Klimaanlage, was die Nächte ganz angenehm gemacht hat. Die Zimmer werden jeden Tag gründlich gereinigt, mit allem, was dazu gehört. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist nicht überladen aber es ist für jedem was dabei. Das Restaurant bietet reichlich Köstlichkeiten und kann locker mit einem 5* Restaurant mithalten - super lecker - nur zu empfehlen ! Für Sonnenhungrige gibt es genügend Liegen am Salzwasser- Pool. Die Cocktails sind absolut OK im Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis! Für das Benehmen von einheimischen Gästen oder aber auch Touristen kann das Hotel nichts. Mein Mann und ich waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder! Danke für 10 tolle Tage.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden, dass die Einrichtung alt ist, wussten wir vorher, das Frühstück war super für ein 3 Sterne Hotel. Baden im Meer ist in der Bucht gegenüber möglich. Die Straße stört nicht, es war sehr ruhig. Nur die Parkplatzsituation ist am Wochenende nervig.
