Great location-if you are on the water side beautiful view across to the Point and abundant bird life to sit and watch. If you are only the garden view side - go out to the deck and enjoy a happy hour $7 house wine or beer and enjoy the view. Room are large and the garden view ones are renovated. A few negatives no lift so bag need to be carried up a flight of stairs. Only a kettle in the room no toaster or bowls. - Hotel does have a restaurant but there are cafes in the area if you prefer.

Beautiful views and was a great base for exploring the east coast. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, and the restaurant had a good variety of options available. Only down side was that walls were quite thin and could be a little noisy at times, but otherwise a fantastic stay!

Had a very enjoyable one night stay. Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Room was spacious very well appointed and clean. Sorry we could only stay the one night and definitely will stay again the next time I'm in St Helens.
