This property is undergoing extensive renovation’s. But the rooms are very clean with excellent comfortable bedding and nicer towels than you find at big chain hotels. I’m sure when the Reno is done this place will be a gem for travelers.

Corner room was very quiet and we loved that. Larger refrigerator was a bonus. Staff was friendly. I think the rooms are over priced for the area and no free breakfast included.

The Allegheny Inn is a budget hotel that was perfect for our stay in Sparta for a local event. The intown location was walking distance to restaurants and a short 5 minute drive to our event. The staff was friendly and efficient. We will definitely stay there again.

Older quaint motel, but well maintained. Shower went from hot to cold randomly. Appreciated the extra tall mini fridge. Be sure to eat at JB's right next door and bring cash. Will stay again next year.

I’ve been in Sparta many times but never stayed overnight. The Inn is a little vintage but with some updates and clean! Great value especially if you’re doing Parkway activities. I would not think twice about booking there again. Sparta has some excellent comfort food venues and the Bluffs restaurant on the Parkway is worth it with food and ambience. We’ve been going to the Bluffs for 40 years (except when they were renovating and COVID). Please go treat yourself to both! We actually stayed at the Bluffs Lodge twice before it closed. Slow down and go enjoy Sparta and the Bluffs restaurant.

There’s no other option to stay overnight in Sparta except the Allegheny Inn. It’s nothing special and the bathrooms are really small so if you’re heavyset, you might wanna ask for a a room with a larger bathroom the sheets were clean, but there was a stain and there was some hair in the drain of the bathtub that was not mine.! there was coffee in the lobby but only powdered creamer. It’s not pet friendly so no no pets allowed. The good news is there’s a nice little restaurant that’s right in the parking lot if you will so you can go get some real coffee and a nice breakfast.

The staff were nice and I have nothing bad to say about them. The property and rooms themselves are completely outdated which is fine, but they are so outdated to the point where I don't think any amount of cleaning could make the room feel clean. It wasn't necessarily dirty but definitely not well taken care of. They had a note that they were undergoing renovations so hopefully that issue gets solved for future guests. But just overall, things need to be updated in hotels as time goes on. It felt so unsanitary. There were hairs on the shower walls upon my arrival. There were some stains on my blankets, one of which was orange, and I have no idea what it was. Thankfully I had another bed to sleep in. The table chairs in the room were disgusting. They were old, stained, and in unacceptable condition for guests paying what they are paying. There was this buzzing sound coming from my fridge that sounded like distant snoring. Non stop. There was this loud buzzing/rattling sound from my window the second night. Woke me up at 3:30am and I couldn't go back to sleep. It was horrible. I understand it's a small town, old school but this hotel was not worth what it's priced. They also definitely used some sort of enhancement or AI on their website photos. NOTHING looked like how it did on their website.
