“Conveniently located by the harbour and castle. Room 2 (twin room) was basic but clean and comfortable with everything in working order. As our stay was during the summer heatwave, it’s difficult to comment on whether it’d be warm in cooler months. Somewhat noisy at night and early morning due to the room facing the main harbour road.”

“The room was clean and bright, the pull out sofa bed was a bit short for an adult and we weee above the kitchen which was noisy at closing but done by 10pm. Great staff, pretty location.”

“While we liked the theme of the pub, and the staff were friendly, the stay was let down by a poor nights sleep due to very thin walls and chatter in the pub past 11pm (despite the pub closing at 10). I did complain, and the noise did stop after some time, but it took a significant amount of time to get to sleep even after that. The pillows were also not to our preference, being extremely soft, but we didn’t raise this with staff (as we only stayed one night) so we don’t know if there were any...

“Room was clean and presentable room smelled nice an fresh when we came back after our day out staff were friendly Valerie was a good host lovely breakfasts each day and great parking at the back well secured loved it”

“Room was totally fine. Bed was comfy. Given tea and coffee. I brought my own little lamp as the only light is the main one. Toilets and shower are external and pretty run of the mill. Nice selection of beers and ales in the pub. Breakfast was nice”

“Appalling customer service! We had planned a short break to visit friends in Filey at the beginning of August 2026 and made a reservation almost 6 weeks ago. Unfortunately, a family member was rushed into hospital just before the planned weekend and we had to cancel our trip. I wrote to the hotel via the Hotel.com messaging facility with apologies for the cancellation and enquired if they were prepared to provide us with a credit for a stay in the near future. We heard nothing from the hotel, so...

“Great stay, great location , short walk in to town and beach , great parkings included. Break great Peppa (dog) always has her sausage too. Really toasty hot room. Stayed few times we will be back for sure”

“The room was lovely and very comfortable. I had some difficulty with the stairs both in the accommodation and in the outer building because of my mobility, so I would warn others of the steepness of the stairs. Everything was very clean and well presented, plenty of continental breakfast choices, tea and coffee etc. This would only have been improved by a more practical washing up facility than the bathroom sink. Having said that though, the bathroom was spotlessly clean.”
