Air conditioning was strong. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. Bathroom was not dirty but there were spiders and bugs - probably because the bathroom is just inside the front door they could easily fly/crawl in. Otherwise it’s a good place to stay. After 10 pm people in the other rooms quieted down so we were able to sleep.

My family & family Friends spent our Canada Day longweekend here, the staff and service exceeds our expectations they were very accomodating and hospitable as well as very friendly. They had Bonfire areas at the back which we love to do as family, its family friendly area and its near the downtown core too.. Cons: When you shower all at early once every room water weaken or even has no water.. however the management were very quick to action on this matter. Definitely will recommend this place!

For the most part the hotel was good - some of the outdoor facilities, like the volleyball court and fire pit, could use some attention and cleaning. There were barbecues available to use with propane supplied. The room was clean, with enough towels and bedding for everyone we had in our party. The staff at check in was super friendly and knowledgeable. We called beforehand to clarify the towel and bedding fees and were pleasantly surprised to find out that information was from the previous owner and is no longer applicable (though it might still be good to call and verify just in case). The main draw back was the, lack of, wifi. We happen to have quite a fair bit of data, but if you don’t… make sure you download/print everything you need for your trip (parking passes, tickets, etc) while in an area with reliable wifi. Other than those few small “issues”, the property was really good, and is in a really good location.

Staff was wonderful and welcoming, even at a late check-in. Only 5 min to downtown Wiarton. But there were cobwebs in the bathroom and someone else’s socks and underwear left under the bed. Beds were creaky and not that comfortable, but the location was convenient for travel to beaches and tobermory, was a decent price and they allow dogs which is not easy to find these days!

The staff was friendly and welcoming, but our stay was very disappointing, especially for $200 for one night. The room had a terrible smell, and we were bothered by mosquitoes all night, making it almost impossible to sleep. Unfortunately, it was not worth the price.

There is some confusion with check in. It says check in is from 3 to 9. We arrived off the afternoon Chi Cheemaun, drove directly to the hotel. No one around. The lady who came to the front said they are only open until 3 except on weekends. Nowhere on the instructions was this made clear. Other than that, the room was nice and big and clean. There was a Keurig in the room but no disposable cups for hot liquids, one sugar and no stir sticks. Obviously the room was not readied properly for the next guests,who happened to be us. The pictures of the grounds were obviously old. As the volleyball area was weedy, one of the horshoe pits was broken and also both weedy. That would have been disappointing if anyone picked this motel due to the nice pictures of the outside area. Expensive for what you get.

This property is old, poorly-maintained and is truly a “roadside motel” in every sense! It’s about as basic as you can get. Admittedly, I don’t stay in roadside motels often unless desperate to find a place to stay, but this place was the worst motel/hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The television in our room didn’t work, the WIFI didn’t work, the refrigerator was warm, and when I called “front desk” to get help with anything you get a voice message that says they’re closed! The mattresses/beds were extremely cheap and uncomfortable and made noise when you’re rolling over. It was so bad it actually made us laugh. Like a bad movie! Don’t stay here!
