This place was very nice. New, shiny, and clean. However, it was not worth the $650+/night we paid to stay there. Not even close. Maybe $200. We were in South Bend for a ND football game, and it was the only place with an open room. We arrived at about 9 pm, but the only place to eat was a coffee shop place with refrigerated sandwiches. They ask for your ID for everything. Over the top and excessive. My spouse and I each ordered a drink at the bar, and while we were waiting my spouse wandered off to look at a slot machine. When his beer arrived, the bar tender very rudely demanded to know where he was. I replied that he was wandering around and would be back. She rudely stated that she could not serve me his beer. I replied that I did not ask for her to do so. She demanded very loudly and urgently that I had to go find him "NOW" and get him to take the beer. She even kept her hand on the glass while shouting at me, and she refused to provide me with the drink I ordered. The next am we woke up to try breakfast at the buffet, but it was closed (!) Did not open until 2 pm (?!) And then had odd hours. We finally found the only restaurant open which was a sit down place which literally took 2 hours to serve our meal. Despite paying >$650/night, there was no maid service. And yes. You guessed it - when we got back from the game, there was only a single restaurant open, and we barely made it there before they closed at 8:30 or 9 pm. Really horrible service and experience.
