Great fresh breakfast with lots of fruit! Very helpful staff! I had a flat tire and it was a Swedish holiday so no mobile tire service. The owners actually took my flat tire off, drove it to a tire store and plugged the hole! Then put it back on my car for me!! Incredible kindness to my family.

It's a nice clean property, but extremely dated. They should provide a latching lock on the inside of the doors for safety. Also there were no black out curtains, which makes it a little tough to sleep during the Swedish summer. We did pay for breakfast but overslept by 30 minutes and there was no breakfast and nobody around to help us.That seems a little uptight to me. Overall convenient and not bad.

Inget duschdraperi, toaletten rann hela tiden, hängare för badlakan var båda lösa även toarullhållaren lös. Stod ett par skor på hatthyllan och en tomburk bakom gardinen. Frukosten var en besvikelse på flera plan. Osv. Kommer inte rekommendera detta hotell tyvärr.

Det är bra att ingen försökt styla hotell Appelberg genom åren, att man nu tar ett steg i taget. Allt fungerar, boendet är mycket prisvärt, med härlig historisk atmosfär.

Hotellet är gammalt och slitet men överlag helt ok. Du får vad du betalar för. Låg standard i dusch och toalett. Sängarna helt ok. Frukost ingen lyx direkt. Lite ägg ost och skinka typ. Man får en kod till rumsdörren på hotellet. Den funkade bara 1 dygn. Dygn nr 2 fick vi en ny kod till rummet och ser nu på mitt kvitto att det har man debiterat 85 kr extra för. Tack och lov den kvällen kom vi in tidigt. Hade vi varit ett par timmar senare så hade vi inte kommit in på rummet för natten.

Att läsa hotellets beskrivning av sitt boende känns skrattretande. Anrik byggnad? Smakfullt renoverat? Service till en ny nivå? Vilket hotell pratar man om? Förvånansvärt ointresserad personal som t o m använde huvudnyckel och gick in på rum utan att knacka! Wifi fungerade sporadiskt. TV:n hade inga kanaler utan enbart SVTplay. Rummet hade ingen mörkläggning och allt var oerhört lyhört. Duschen såg ut som tagen från 70-talet och inbjöd inte till användning. Överlag inte ett hotell att rekommendera även om frukosten och läget var helt ok.

Incheckningen var under all kritik. Han i receptionen ( chefen) talade mycket dålig svenska och hade en aggressiv attityd. Jag sade att jag bokat via Hotels.com men han insisterade på att jag skulle betala separat. Hotels.coms faktura kom snabbt så jag fick honom att kreditera efter presentation av denna. Jag fick den känslan att han försökte blåsa mig på detta sätt. Kan inte rekommendera detta hotell. Tyvärr finns det inte så mycket att välja på i Sollefteå.

Det var svårt att få tag på personalen och ibland verkade de inte vara på plats. När jag väl kom i kontakt med en medarbetare fick jag dock hjälp direkt, och han var mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Informationen kring incheckningen var också motsägelsefull. I Hotels-appen stod det att man behövde kontakta boendet minst 24 timmar före ankomst och att hotellfrukost inte ingick på vardagar. När jag ringde boendet visade det sig att man inte alls behövde kontakta dem i förväg och hotellfrukost ingick alltid. Det var bara att komma dit före kl. 00.00. De hänvisade till ett e-postmeddelande med incheckningsinformation. Jag har dock som vana att läsa informationen i Hotels-appen, eftersom de flesta hotell jag bor på ser till att uppgifterna där är korrekta och uppdaterade. Därför skapade de motstridiga uppgifterna en viss osäkerhet.
