Highly recommended as a place to stay when visiting Door County! Set off the road- the grounds are well maintained with outdoor seating and fire pits! Inside is cozy, rooms very clean, beds comfy, microwave, frig, coffee maker- everything you need! The owners are super nice and helpful with any questions about the area! Have stayed several times and will definitely stay here again!

The staff are very accommodating and professional. The atmosphere was amazing with two fire pits outside and an electric fireplace in each room. Centrally located in Sister Bay with a 20 minute drive to any other locations. Definitely will be back next year. Lodge is quite even with families having the option of bringing their dog with. I didn’t hear any dogs barking the entire time we were at the lodge.

This was our first stay in DC and it was so nice! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. The Fire pits outside were so relaxing to sit by at the end of the day. Our room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to any need we might have. Would definitely stay here again. The Lodge is centrally located so made it easy to get around Door County quickly.

Open Hearth is an older facility but very well maintained and clean for a very fair price. The staff was wonderful. We liked the location in Sister Bay, and we enjoyed the amenities such as Continental breakfast, indoor pool and hot tub, multiple fire pits and outdoor furniture. They even have umbrellas for a rainy day and bug spray available for use in the lobby.

We had a lovely stay at this property. We were impressed overall with the accommodations (VERY pet friendly), the continental breakfast and breakfast room was refreshing, and the grounds and rooms were spacious and well kept. We found the pool and hot tub area to be a tad dated, and a little lacking in ambience. Lounge chairs might have helped, and more wood in those areas would have made it seem not so sterile.

The writing said it was a continental breakfast, which it was. The motel had a pool, jacuzzi, fire pit you can use & various board games. They also have bags outside you can play. We would of liked the counter space a little more spacious by the sink. The motel was very good for the price we paid.
