Love the history and architecture of The Murray! Matthew was so welcoming and helpful at check in. We were excited to hear that the hotel is adding a restaurant and bar in the near future.

I really appreciated the helpful staff, the age and history of the building, breakfast was very good. Great this old building could provide air conditioning albeit a bit old-fashioned. I would stay here again and ag.

Loved the overall art deco decor, right down to the old hi-fi music playing in the lobby. But half the lobby was loaded up with huge boxes, apparently to be used in the upcoming restaurant renovation. The gal at the desk wasn’t overly helpful, especially when we were trying to pull the luggage cart thru the door & she was standing at the doorway. But our room was lovely with all the amenities. Breakfast room was tastefully decorated & continental breakfast was the top notch. We would definitely stay here again!

The Murray is a very good place to stay in Silver City. It’s a renovated historic property so the rooms are smaller but comfortable. It was quiet at night and located downtown with restaurants and shopping, We enjoyed our one night stay. The staff was very helpful.

The Murray is a nice hotel with so much potential. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The only negative report was that the room could have been more thoroughly cleaned. There were a few issues in the bathroom that required more attention, the sink drain and around the toilet seat. The bedding was older but clean. The continental breakfast was good with a good variety of options. The location was great close to shops and restaurants. My only recommendation is some extra effort from the cleaning staff.

Great place to stay in Silver. The breakfast leaves much to be desired, but the rooms are great, with plenty of space, a fridge and a microwave. The staff is very attentive and pleasant.

Great location in the old "downtown" area - near many galleries and antique shops. The hotel is old but nicely restored with numerous historical photos in the hallways. Being an old building the rooms are somewhat small for 2 queen beds. Breakfast was standard self-serve and adequate. AC was an in room unit with a flex duct to the outside that worked well - no complaints. Staff were always helpful and friendly.

Checked in with no problem. The room was clean, although the bathroom was a bit tired. My husband wanted to wash up a bit, but couldn’t get the water to warm up. I called the front desk and he said he would check it out. He called back to say that the boiler didn’t seem to be working and maintenance was coming to take a look. We were nervous to stay, since the hotel had radiator heat as well. We opted to leave and they were great about refunding our stay.

The Murray is an Art Deco Gem of a hotel! My friend and I checked in on Monday 10-26 for a two night stay. Matthew greeted us upon arrival at the front desk and was very welcoming and friendly. The lobby was filled with many boxes as the hotel is gearing up for the addition of a highly anticipated restaurant and lounge. Many restaurants in Silver City are closed Monday and Tuesday but Matthew was able to make some recommendations that we found most helpful. The continental breakfast included yogurt, assorted cereals and even a waffle maker. The only thing lacking was housekeeping. Since we were only there two nights we didn't really need the sheets changed on our two queen beds, but fresh towels would have been nice. I will definitely plan on coming back to see how the new restaurant turns out. The Murray is in an excellent location within walking distance to just about everything. It is a very charming property worth revisiting.

Breakfast was good. Only hot part was the standard waffle maker but boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The hotel is not as well maintained as in years past. Not as charming as we remembered.

Was great location. Parking was easy. Had an elevator broken that was pretty inconvenient. Had to use the service elevator. The room was dated but nice. I think the hotel likes to keep a dated look. But it’s clean and well maintained.

It looked much better online. Super hot. Front desk gave my husband one room when we checked in. Had to go ask about the 2nd room. Rooms were very small. But the history of the hotel was visible and fun to read. Breakfast was great.
