“I booked a two-week stay at JMR through Expedia expecting the level of quality and hospitality the resort was once known for. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. “Food was extremely expensive. 6 none alcoholic drinks 1 meal of chicken fingers, 1 meal of cheese sticks, and 1 Houka cost $100. Could not shower due to the lack of hot water, informed staff about water blockage in shower and no response. I would. It recommend the place for anyone who’s over 5’10” on the first floor and 3’ on the second floor. My daughter hit her head in the ceiling and had a concussion. We have to cut our trip short and return to the US. ”

The apartment however was very dirty, dust was everywhere, we couldn't even walk on the floor without feeling all the dust everywhere and on surfaces. The beds were very uncomfortable and made noise every time we made a small move or sat on them. No ACs in the flat is an issue in the summer for sure. “We did a day trip to Deir Al Qamar, Moussa Castle and Beit El Din Palace. Spent the evening/night at hotel. Next day we went up to the Cedar reserve for a moderate hike. The weather was great, enjoyed the scenery and the fresh clean air. The hotel is well located on the route of this road trip which is worth it. Very clean and hospitable staff.”
