“The staff were the best thing about this stay. The room was ok, clean and everything I'd expect from a motel. However, my room faced onto a large public car part that served a pub, restaurant and the biggest bottle shop I've seen. It was used by young people to kick a ball around. I needed to sleep early, but was woken at 10:30, just after the doors were closed, by a youngster asking if I'd let him through my room to the back so he could retrieve his football. I refused. “Hubby and I stayed for 1 night when attending a nearby function. We were both really impressed with this hotel. Doesn't look like much from the outside, basically a big industrial shed. However, the way it's been set up is really clever and charming. We didn't realise check in closed at 5pm, and the receptionist was just closing up when we arrived at 5:05pm, but took the time to welcome us personally even though we'd been sent the after hours instructions. “The property location was great! Within walking distance to shops, ocean, and park. Room was great. Kingsize bed was comfortable and room was clean and spacious. Double showers, was nice. I would definitely book to stay there again, if I was coming back to Freemantle. Easy access to your room with code. No need to have physical keys or card. A great place to stay with garden chairs to sit and relax outside, if needed.”

“The room was pretty basic, TV, kettle tea coffe milk & sugar and a bed. The room although cleaned every 3 days looked tired and could do with a fresh coat of paint. Would have liked some form of comfy chair instead of a stool. But overall was adequate to meet my needs. Parking is free and ample. The down side if you don't have car your a bit out of the way.”

“The Norfolk Hotel is a brilliant option for accommodation in the heart of Fremantle.
As a solo, female traveler in town at short notice for a funeral, the convenience, simplicity, affordability and good vibes of the establishment smoothed my trip.
Staff are friendly and attentive, with the manager carrying my bag to the room (there is a flight of stairs which may trouble some).
A shared bathroom may deter some, but in truth it was cleaner, emptier and closer to my bedroom than at home!
