“Plenty of parking, easy to check in and very courteous staff.”

“The tv Ariel didn’t work , tiny poorly maintained room”

“Rooms are very comfortable and clean some areas could with a bit of a paint. But rooms are quiet and comfortable.”

“Was a great place to stay”

“Good, comfortable room. Excellent freshly made breakfast Lovely, friendly and helpful staff The restaurant side of the business has closed, but there are a couple of pubs in walking distance.”

“Lovely place and rooms were great. Some of staff didn’t know how to check us in It’s a pub, and luckily we had booked for food… the pub was very food dominated and wouldn’t have felt comfortable just drinking… food was good and place lovely though”

“We stayed to go to a wedding at the Manor over the road. (Really handy to be able to walk to that). Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pub except for breakfast in the morning which was really good, but the pub looked good. Rooms were clean and cosy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice sandwich shop/deli 2 doors down. Some early morning plane noise (under the flight path to Birmingham airport?), so if you are a light sleeper it might be worth bringing earplugs. Nice place...

“Great place to stay and quiet. Meals were fantastic.”

“Delightful inn with clean, comfortable en-suite bedrooms, lovely bar / restaurant with cask ales and delicious meals, all supported by friendly, helpful staff.”

“El personal es genial, muy amable y colaborador. El hotel aunque parece alejado esta bien comunicado y no esta tan lejos del centro, se necesita transporte pero no hay problema. No le doy mas estrellas porque realmente el sitio es de paso, es correcto y limpio, pero es viejito y causa mal efecto. Para pasar un par de noches no esta mal por el precio”

“George and his staff were excellent, very helpful and lovely hosts. Our top floor room was fabulous, with a huge comfy bed and roll top bath, luxury! Would definitely stay again.”

“Muy bien la señora de la recepción muy agradable, la habitación limpia todo reformado, lo único q el baño es pequeño el de nuestra habitación y faltaba colgadores para las toallas. Pero por lo demas hemos estado muy bien. La ubicación un poco lejos del Centro pero con bus en la misma puerta del hotel en 15min te lleva al mismo Centro, andando sobre unos 35min. ”

“Arrived on Sunday evening. Had been held up at an engagement but had a table booked during my journey for 20.45. Arrived at the pub/reception at 20.53 (booking line stated I had a 15 minute grace period). Told rather rudely that the kitchen had closed ages ago. I pointed out that I'd booked a table for 20.45 to which the reply was 'well it's now 20.53'. I stated that the booking said there was a 15 minute grace period and I had been stuck in traffic during my 2 hours drive, so couldn't help...

“This was a 3 night stay, with 11 other golfers, in the heart of Wantage, It is an old property in the town square. Rooms were small but adequate. Bathroom was well maintained and clean. (Nice towels). We dined there once and breakfasted three times. Food was good. Service was very professional and friendly. The bar was well stocked and lively whilst we were there. Only criticism was the hotel seemed very warm especially in the room. I had a fan and could open the window etc but it did not...

“Felicidades por los empleados y el trato amable y atento de todos los que trabajan allí.”
