Room was clean. Smelled like the perfume strippers wear. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sign said rooms not made up on Friday and Sunday unless requested. We stayed over and our room was not made up on Saturday, but trash removed. VERY convenient to Road America. Don’t know if restaurants are near, but there is a McDonald’s very close. Would stay here again.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Our room may have been cleaned weeks prior, but it was definitely not cleaned before we arrived. We had to wipe down all of the flat surfaces to remove the dust, fingerprints and stains around the sink. There was hair in the shower and in the bed. Breakfast was decent: scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, donuts, waffles. We had never heard good things about La Quinta, but thought we'd try it because of the lower price. We'll pay more next time for a clean room.

6/10 Okay

The property was generally more modern than average, and it was clear it had been updated fairly recently. The bed was comfortable, and the room size was appropriate. The breakfast was significant and tasted good. That said, I didn't get a comfortable, friendly feel from the hotel. When we arrived for our three-night stay, the body wash dispenser in the shower was empty. It was never filled during our stay, even after it was mentioned at the front desk. I had also mentioned that the shower head was having significant problems, yet no one addressed it during our stay. I was left with the general impression that most were putting out only the necessary effort to fulfill their roles.

I wish I remembered her name, but when I first walked in I was greeted so kindly and she complemented me and was very friendly! We only stayed for one night, but I will most likely stay again in the future. We had a very clean room and when we walked in, it smelled clean too.
