I enjoyed the Inn and all the amenities that came with it. It is hard to maintain a 100+ year old facility, but the owners have worked very hard to keep the place looking good and in good working condition and the staff were all helpful. It is a good place in a great setting.

My first advice to travelers is not to book room 303. Book a deluxe king room and not standard. Room 303 was very small and in dis repair. We were moved to a deluxe king, which was lovely and renovated. We enjoyed our stay, the activities, and the on-site restaurants were good. The pool and hot tub area were renovated and fun to use. The grounds were beautiful.

The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and treated us well. Parking was easy and we enjoyed dinner on the porch, as well as breakfast at the Buckwood every morning. Air conditioning is manageable, I brought my own small fan based on another person’s review and it improved my comfort. I would definitely return.

I’ll just say the Front desk is less to be desired. Don’t expect them to be much help with anything. The campfire smores and golf cart tour was great and our kids loved it. Golf course is always beautiful and well maintained. The upgrades they recently did to the pool are excellent.

Unfortunately, my stay at Shawnee Inn was disappointing. The rooms feel very dated, with old construction, substandard cleanliness, and uncomfortable beds. Overall, the accommodations did not feel like they were maintained to the standard I would expect for the price. The biggest positive is the location. The resort is conveniently located near the Delaware Water Gap, waterfalls, scenic drives, and many of the area’s attractions, which makes it a good base for exploring the Poconos. However, while the location is excellent, the condition and cleanliness of the rooms significantly impacted our stay. I would hope the property invests in renovating the rooms, improving cleanliness, and upgrading the beds and overall accommodations.

We stayed in the Delaware house and to be honest it was very dated. As soon as you walked in it had an odd smell. I wish I knew that vehicles parked right in front of your room (in front of your only window). It really lacked any privacy. The pool was amazing. The grounds were amazing. We were hit by a storm and lost power 2 out of the 4 evenings ( not the hotels fault). They did their best with the situation and offered coffee and doughnuts. I just felt sad that we missed out on 2 out of our 4 nights there to enjoy the property.

The room was clean and fully stocked, the resort was also very clean and well maintained, the staff was super nice and helpful, my only complaint was that the hot tub was having issues getting warm but the pool was amazing, hopefully the hot tub will be warm the next time we go!

The bathroom windows lacked screens, and the bathrooms were invaded by swarms of bugs overnight. We alerted the front desk and the maintenance staff came to fumigate the bathrooms. We had to move to another room on the second day of stay. Overall we had a good experience, but the property need to be maintained more properly, so that a harrowing experience such as bug infestation does not happen.
