We had a lovely stay at the Malborough hotel. Lovely location, close to beach and town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Recommended the fisherman's cottage inn and the shanklin chine both worth a visit!
Wonderfully friendly and efficient staff. Fab breakfasts. Room was very nice. Plenty of good parking space and hotel central to Shanklin. Short walk to the seafront.
Only criticism was tiny shower with no heater to warm room and to dry the towels.
Enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay as a treat for my partners birthday (surprise trip!). Only booked this a few weeks prior and considering this is in the middle of the school summer holidays, we were lucky with the hotel and the price! Its more like a cosy BnB, great location, a wonderful 5 mins walk to the seafront, a few mins walk to the Chine. The hotel is bright & white, its a little quirky, staff are really lovely and the breakfast was lush, although a little on the early side (8am - 9.30am). The room isnt the biggest but absolutely fine, apart from the heat - but this is a very hot summer. We could have asked for a fan but we didnt. The bed was a little on the small side but my guy is super tall, so perhaps couldnt be helped. You can walk to Shanklin train station in about 10 minutes or so, there are bus stops about too but I found the bus service this year to not be the best unfortunately (just my view). Overall - a lovely little hotel which is good for the money.
Great location staff were so welcoming and friendly breakfast was very good great spacious room overall a perfect stay would definitely come back and would recommend this hotel
The Hilton or Marriott it is not but The Marlborough Hotel is a nice value for money boutique property very close to the beach and ideal for a short break. Our room was spotless which was a feature across the hotel. Breakfast was excellent with a large range of breakfast products. There was nothing that we wanted for. The position of the hotel provided limited sea views apart from one of the hotel premiere rooms which seemed to have a large balcony on the top floor. One aspect of the location to consider is the beach are cliffs are subject to erosion so there are a number of repair sites close by which didn’t bother us at all. All in all a very nice stay.

Comfortable and well located hotel
Comfortable and well located hotel. Easy walk to town and beach. Good range of food and drink options in the town.
Nice walk on promenade and esplanade.
The photograph shows a sea front, the hotel is not near the sea front there is a lift down to the sea which is not far away. Comfortable hotel in a good location, excellent breakfast
We enjoyed our stay, this was our second stay at this hotel, the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The room was very clean and had everything we needed with a lovely big, comfy bed. Breakfast was really good. We will definitely book again

Super Shanklin
Lovely people, couldn't do enough for you.
Beds were Amazingly comfortable + breakfast was excellent.
A few things need some attention in the decor but overall a lovely place to stay.
5 minutes to the beach or to the old town so great location.
We had a lovely four day stay at this hotel. I was particularly impressed with friendliness of the staff and indeed the other residents. It was all very relaxed, inclusive and friendly. I was also particularly impressed with the breakfast. The choice from the buffet was very good and had clearly been carefully selected. The cooked breakfast was really nice with good quality and well cooked ingredients. Downside was the heat in the rooms overnight and as we had a balcony that shared with 4 other rooms so were unhappy about sleeping with it open. Also a second floor room with no lift made for a long trip up at the end of a busy day. All on all, I would definitely use this hotel again.
We liked virtually everything about this nicely run hotel. Run as a small hotel, with the absolute warmth of a truly British seaside B&B.
This hotel was very clean, and the linen in all the rooms, bathroom, bedroom and dining/breakfast room was immaculate. The rooms were pleasantly decorated and the staff were polite and accommodating. Breakfast was always served as you liked it. The bar meals were limited but were nicely dished up with a good pint of beer.
We were there for a fortnight and enjoyed our stay in our very spacious and comfortable rooms. My only criticism is regarding the toilet seats (only experienced 2, in our bathroom and in the public toilet near the lounge) which were those horrible cheap, thin bendy one's, although they were always clean.
In general I would say "Keep up the good work Agneta and Pascal, and thank you for being good hosts".
Bright and airy property in both communal areas and rooms.
Breakfast was great.
Staff on reception and the breakfast room were amazing and made the stay perfect.
Fantastic value for money.
Spent 3 nights visiting the Isle of Wight for the first time.
Hotel was clean comfortable and in a good location.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and a great breakfast was served every morning.
Would definitely use again if visiting the island in the future.
Very nice hotel in a great positio. Set in a nice garden which was lovely to relax in with a drink from the bar. Friendly helpful staff and a lot of options for breakfast. All in all a superb hotel which I shall certainly be returning to.
