A nice alternative to the Bund area which is a lot more crowded with tourists. Some lovely local stores and high end malls all walking distance. Hotel was great - not the breathtaking variety but rooms are large and stylish.

The Sukhothai has been my favorite hotel in Shanghai for years! I used to stay during Covid when we couldnā€™t leave China but I needed to feel like I was on vacation. They even decorated my room once for my birthday! Love this hotel!
