Perfect location to the main station and the fish market, etc, it’s very accessible. The morning buffet was expensive, but it’s worth trying. The bed was perfectly firm for me, and I didn’t have back pain!

The staff was very nice and helped me ship my luggage to my next hotel. The area is close by the Asachi market and an old woman who sells homemade onigiris by that market every morning at 7am. The location is 10 mins from Sendai station and 8 mins from Adobori station which is not too bad.

This hotel is amazing. Based on the room setup with the old school phone console with light switches, you can tell it's a little on the older side. The beds were large and comfortable, easily the most comfortable beds in my last dozen trips to Japan. The rooms were spacious as well. The breakfast buffet is pretty good, but it's not amazing. It's not located right by the station, but it's only 5-10 minute walk to the station. It's not the most affordable, so I would stay here again if I could find a deal.

I had to shorten the days of my stay at the hotel. The receptionist was kind enough to telephone Expedia (Japan) to sort out the mess, and in the end I was offered a very comfortable room (with the reservation I made plus upgrade fees). It turned into a very pleasant experience.

The room was clean and large for the price, spacious bathroom too, which is rare in Japan. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful when I admitted that I accidentally booked a double bed instead of two singles. They immediately transferred my friend and I to a new room with no fuss. Recommended for a cheaper stay in Sendai.

Curious with the good reviews, I want to experience it. True enough, Sendai Kokusai Hotel is well deserved. They have local and foreign front desk staffs ensuring the best communication. The hotel building is not new but very well maintained. I had a minor issue with my room. A staff member checked it out and made the arrangement immediately. Really appreciated the swiftly settlement. Overall I enjoyed my stay very much. Will stay again in my future trips.

This is my second time in two years staying at the Kokusai Hotel in Sendai. The breakfast is one of the best in Japan, and a good reason to come back. The rooms are very clean and quiet. They tend to be on the smaller side, but are a good value for the price. It would be nice if the front desk staff spoke better English. Communications can be a challenge.

Room is big but outdated. It’s clean but it smelled like body odor. I called front desk about it but she told me to use the spray in the room. It didn’t help. Amenities is just okay, there’s a fridge in our room but it doesn’t really get cold. No laundry in the hotel so we hust used the laundymat nearby.Location is great. Not too far from the train station.
