We had a the Signature room in Scalloway Hotel which was a lovely big room with a view overlooking the sea. The room was clean and very well appointed. The reason I only gave 4 stars rather than 5 was because there was shower gel ( attached to the wall) in the shower but that was all. There were no other toiletries at all. We appeared to be expected to go into the shower to wash our hands. I expect a hotel to at least provide hand soap. The staff were very helpful when I asked for some but I shouldn’t have to ask. Also nowadays most hotels provide a bottle of water, even if only filled from the tap. Finally I had to hunt around for the loo paper which was in the cupboard under the sink. None on the holder. However we had a very nice dinner, everyone was very friendly and helpful and it was good value. So I would come again and hope the little annoyances have been rectified.

Friendly, clean hotel. Lovely location, continental breakfast was included but various cooked options were also available. We ate in the bar one evening and drinks in the bar both evenings we stayed, both very reasonably priced & enjoyable. Mix of locals and hotel guests, good atmosphere. Lovely Hotel in beautiful surroundings

Lovely hotel, Staff very friendly. Room very clean and looked newly done up. Comfy bed. Good choice for breakfast continental and cooked. Had a nice evening meal too. Plenty free parking around hotel. Quite area to walk about, beautiful scenery. Scalloway museum worth a visit.
