Check in was a good experience. The 'clean' room, was not clean. It looked clean, but the floor was so dirty, I had to lay out towels leading from the bed to the Jacuzzi tub as the grim would stick to my feet. If you wanted the ac (window unit on) you had to leave the bedroom curtain open at night. The bedroom tv doesn't work. Someone tried to smash into my room before checkout. I tried to find staff upon checkout. The area was dark. No staff around.

Pictures do not fit the hotel. Overall not very good. Very dated. Currently undergoing renovations. No staff around for assistance. Garbage in the lobby, sign at front desk to call for assistance. We were very disappointed in this facility after having seen generally positive reviews prior to booking. The building is old and very tired, poorly maintained. Our room had a leaky faucet in the bathroom, a sink in the sleeping area that wasn't operational, a stained toilet and just generally looked tired. We passed the front desk four times during our stay and there was never anyone there. At check-in (with no one stationed at the desk), there was a sign on the counter with a number to call. When I called that number, there was no answer. When someone did show up, he was friendly and efficient enough. The whole experience, however, was beyond underwhelming.

It’s evident this is an older building. The carpeted staircase and hallways were outdated, stained, and smelled bad. The air when you first walk into the building was musky and stale. The rooms had a $250 deposit which felt astronomical compared to the $80 prepaid price I paid for the room. The room itself had an odd layout with both a full size fridge and a mini fridge, a strange counter with a deep tub sink and sprayer in the room itself; though was not a kitchenette by any means. There was a jetted tub in the bathroom but I did not utilize it. The jets looked dirty and I was grossed out at the thought of what would jet out into the water. The tub was missing a handle. I used the shower. The water pressure was very weak and the water temperature was horribly inconsistent. I just dealt with it as I only had a one night stay. Positives were that the hotel was located minutes away from the Blue Water Bridge, and was mildly convenient to several restaurants and parks. This was probably a one time stay venue for me as there were more up to date options in the area which would have made the experience more relaxing.
