A little old-fashioned, but it gives the place charm. Besides the looks, the place is in a great location. It is close to the waterfront, close to several local restaurants and coffee shops. It is also down the street from the state park.

I love the uniqueness of the succulents all over the property and the individually decorated rooms. I somehow booked my visit date for the wrong one and when I arrived, found out the owner had stayed up until 1:00 AM waiting for me. Luckily, one room was still available when I arrived the next afternoon. The owners always go above and beyond to make the stay a peaceful time. There are even microwave safe porcelain tea cups (and tea, not just coffee) in the rooms.

The owners of the property were fantastic. Super nice and kept the place clean. The room were immaculate. The sweet Asian lady was very helpful and was informative to what to see and where to go. I will definitely be going back to the Sun Down Inn. Loved it.

We stayed one night to attend the citywide yard sale, everything was clean. The staff was friendly very cute little spot perfect to walk to a restaurant and the rest of the city. Great views of the smokestacks as well as the rock from the outside of the hotel. Highly recommend we will stay there again.
