We had the BEST stay! Easy check in and friendly staff. Location is central to everything and the cable car stops right outside the hotels door. Rooms are quiet and clean. We hope to stay here again soon!

Clean room, very nice and helpful staff. We arrived early and were able to keep our luggage at the hotel while sightseeing. Around 2 o'clock we received a text stating our room was ready. The hotel is in a great location. We used public transportation and our feet to get around. Would definitely stay there again.

The Orchard is within walking distance of Chinatown and Union Square, making it a perfect location to launch from. Whether you just want to wander around the city, or stay in and relax, this is a great spot. The bed was comfy, the room was quiet, and the filtered water was delicious. They are super responsive to needs, via text or in person, and everyone is wonderfully friendly. Warning: the water is SUPER hot (great that you don't have to wait for it to warm up and amazing in the shower, BUT it could catch you off guard for sure.)

This property is great! Very affordable and so safe! The Powell-Hyde & Powell-Mason cable cars have a stop just around the corner from hotel and parking in the Sutter-Stockton garage was super close, simple and affordable. The hotel is very dated with old wallpaper and carpet styles, however it was very clean. Staff was very helpful. I would stay here again for sure.

Although the staff was helpful in procuring our needs, the building maintenance, or lack-there-of was was severely lacking. You could hear everybody's movements through the walls, the bathrooms were rather dirty, and our tub got clogged while taking a simple shower. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The property was well maintained in the heart of San Francisco. The staff was exceptional and made me feel like I was coming home each day. Steve was kind, personable, professional and knowledgeable about the area. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and I had close proximity to a multitude of delectable food spots. If you’re in the San Fran area, The Orchard is an excellent option for lodging!
