When you check in they require a $200.00 returnable deposit which seems excessive, but it is a new property and this morning we had the best “breakfast included” at any hotel we have stayed at. We will be returning to San Carlos every 5-6 weeks to see our grandson and we will stay here.

We did not request a handicapped room, but we’re given one. Appreciated the additional space. The room was clean and comfortable with nice amenities. The only note is the toilet bowl in that room has a lot of scuffing from use - giving it the initial appearance that it is dirty. Time to replace that bowl.

The rooms were really clean, well-styled, with plenty of space. Staff was incredibly polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was pretty good too, and it seems like some of the menu changes daily, so you don’t really get tired of anything. My only knock is that the road noise from my room, located (of course) on the side of the building along El Camino Real, kept waking me up even with ear buds in. Other than that, great place to stay and I would do it again, but maybe on a different side of the building.
